Find a funfair nearby: how the map works

With the funfair map, you can see every nearby funfair at a glance. Fairs, market days, marksmen's festivals and Christmas markets are shown as pins on a large map. Simply move the map, zoom in on your region and see straight away where the next celebrations are taking place.

Click a pin to open a detail card with the date, location and highlights. From there, go straight to the full event page with the programme, opening times and travel information. The list on the left also sorts all results by date, distance, name or size. So if you only want to see events near you, first choose your location and then the radius.

1

Choose a location

Enter a town or postcode, or use your location. Set the radius with the slider between 5 and 300 kilometres. The list then sorts the events by distance.

2

Set filters

Filter by time period, country, federal state, event type, highlights such as fireworks or a parade, and attractions. For example, the number next to each option shows you in advance how many results will remain.

3

Save an event

Tap the heart to add events to your saved list. It is stored in your browser, with no account needed. You can bring it up again at any time using the “Saved list” quick filter.

Seven countries

Fairs across Europe on one map

In Germany alone, there are around 10.000 fairs a year, according to the German Showmen's Association. Kirmestermine.eu also collects dates from neighbouring countries. So the map helps you not only find a funfair near where you live, but also plan day trips and holidays. For example, find out which fair is taking place at the weekend in your holiday region, or combine several fairs into a tour.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about the funfair map

How do I find a funfair nearby?

Enter your town or postcode in the search box at the top, or select “Within radius” to use your location. The map then shows all events within the chosen radius, and the list sorts them by distance.

Which events does the map show?

The map shows all upcoming and ongoing events in our calendar. Past festivals disappear automatically. You can find all events in a list in the event calendar.

Why can't I see the map straight away?

The map is provided by Google Maps. It only loads after you accept the cookie notice. The list, search and all filters still work without the map.

Can I share a filtered view?

Yes. Your filters appear in your browser's address bar. Copy the link and send it on, and the other person will see the same selection.

What does “Currently running” mean?

The green label marks fairs that are open today. Use the “Today” quick filter to hide all other dates.

A funfair is missing. What can I do?

Write to us using the contact form. We'll add the fair to the calendar, and it will then appear on the map automatically too.
