Leipzig – Leipzig Winter Magic 2026

Leipzig Winter Magic 2026 is scheduled to take place from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 at the Alte Messe Leipzig site. This is according to a recent announcement by the Volklandt showman business. A winter wonderland with rides, a nostalgic railway, food and drink options, and a large Christmas tree is planned. Winter Magic is a separate event and should not be confused with the Leipzig Christmas market in the city centre.

Leipzig Winter Magic 2026 at the Alte Messe

A winter event combining funfair atmosphere with a festive setting is planned at the Alte Messe site. According to the organiser's notice, showmen are being sought for the season. It is not yet possible to determine fully from this information which businesses will ultimately take part. We therefore do not list an unverified line-up of rides and will only confirm the actual rides once reliable information has been published.

Rides and a nostalgic railway

Various attractions and rides are being advertised for Leipzig Winter Magic. A large nostalgic railway is set to be a special feature. The organiser has also announced a sparkling Christmas tree about 30 metres tall. This is intended to transform the Alte Messe into a winter attraction for different age groups. It has not yet been confirmed whether individual attractions will be available every day or what the prices will be.

Winter food and drink and atmosphere

Food and drink are also part of the concept. Various food and drink options are mentioned, along with an integrated mulled wine stall offering a wide selection. The event is intended to invite you to browse, relax and enjoy a visit together. You can enjoy the winter atmosphere at the former exhibition grounds and try the rides if you wish. The actual selection of stalls will only become clear once the event plans are finalised.

Programme at Leipzig Winter Magic 2026

The announcement also lists family days, a “Lady Night” and other activities as planned highlights. No specific dates or times for these events have been verified so far. They are therefore not listed as confirmed programme items. The information can be added once the organiser publishes a complete schedule.

Opening times and visitor information

The showman business has announced that the event is planned to run from 27 November to 3 January. Reliable daily opening times and general admission prices have not yet been announced. The organiser's announcement for Leipzig Winter Magic currently provides the main published details. Before visiting, we recommend waiting for the final information for your chosen day.
