What to expect

Het Winter Walhalla 2026 brings an indoor winter world to Breda from Saturday, 19 December 2026, to Sunday, 3 January 2027. At Breepark, you can enjoy the “Koude Kermis” with rides, a large ice rink, curling and winter food and drink. Unlike a free-entry Christmas market, Winter Walhalla is a paid indoor event. It is closed on New Year’s Day.

Het Winter Walhalla 2026: dates and opening times

For public visits, the organiser currently lists 19 December as the first day. On the opening Saturday, it is open from 10:00 to 19:00; the separately announced evening event Winter Chaos then takes place from 20:00. Het Winter Walhalla usually opens Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 20:00, until midnight on Saturdays, and from 10:00 to 20:00 on Sundays. On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, regular opening ends at 16:00. On 26 December, opening is from 10:00 to 00:00; it is closed on 1 January.

Important: Older tourism listings still give 17 December as the start date. The organiser’s currently available homepage, practical visitor information and 2026 programme all consistently list 19 December. However, if you are travelling a long way, check for last-minute changes directly with the organiser. Business arrangements may take place before the event opens to the public; this is not general admission.

Het Winter Walhalla 2026: funfair and ice rink

The “Koude Kermis” is a distinct attraction area within the event. The official attractions page lists, among other things, a carousel, Ferris wheel, teacups, swing ride, Race O Rama, elephant ride, caterpillar ride and funhouse. These are published attraction types or names, not confirmed showman or operator details. Therefore, no specific ride profiles are linked here.

Each paid regular admission includes two funfair coupons. You can buy more coupons on site. The covered ice rink, including skate hire, is also included in the regular ticket. You can also play curling; the rink costs an additional 30 euros per hour for a maximum of ten people, and requires a separate admission ticket.

Tickets, prices and family offers

According to the official ticket page, regular tickets cost 19,50 euros from age 13, 17 euros for children aged four to twelve, and are free for children up to and including age three. The 2026 programme page also lists family entertainment such as Bluey and Bingo, Bumba, Mega Mindy, as well as various shows and meet-and-greets. A tribute night is planned for 26 December. Separate tickets and conditions apply for certain special evenings.

There are also food stalls, hot drinks and a sociable winter area. As the event takes place in a hall, you can explore largely unaffected by rain and snow. However, the hall is not automatically a free place to spend time: you need a valid admission ticket to visit.

Getting there, accessibility and rules

Breepark is at Bavelseparklaan 7 in Breda, near the A27. The organiser lists free parking and 16 charging points. You can reach the site by bus from Breda Centraal station; the visitor information lists route 170. Wheelchair-accessible entrances and adapted toilets are available, as are lockers.

You can pay mostly cashlessly. You can load cash onto an event card at the entrance; according to the FAQ, any remaining balance is non-refundable. Dogs are not allowed, except assistance dogs; you may not bring your own food and drink. Gloves are compulsory on the ice rink. Find more winter events in the Kirmestermine calendar; the official organiser information has details on prices and the programme..
