Niel – Jaarmarktkermis 2026

Jaarmarktkermis Niel 2026 turns the Belgian town of Niel into a meeting place for funfair fans from 6 to 16 November 2026. Alongside the rides, there is a market, family-friendly activities and several events in town. Particularly useful for your planning: Gemeentelijke Eventraad Niel has published the opening times for each day of the funfair—and has also clearly marked the day with voluntary opening.

Jaarmarktkermis Niel 2026: When is the funfair open?

It starts on Friday, 6 November, at 17. At the weekend, the rides open at 13:30 each day. An earlier start at 11 is planned for the market Monday, 9 November; on Wednesday, 11 November, operations start at 13. One important exception is Thursday, 12 November: the showmen may open voluntarily on this day. The organiser has not specified a uniform operating time for it. Times may also vary on other days depending on the weather or visitor numbers, so it is best to allow yourself some flexibility.

Jaarmarktkermis Niel 2026 programme

Monday, 9 November, is market day. From 9, local traders and associations will be there; the organisers have also announced food trucks, drinks stalls and animal-related activities around Sint-Hubertusplein. The market and the funfair are separate parts of the event—the early market opening does not mean that the rides will be operating from 9.

On Tuesday, 10 November, the “Niel trakteert” promotion starts at 18, offering prizes and funfair discounts. On Friday, 13 November, the 2-euro funfair day follows from 16. To get the discounted offers, you need the relevant flyer from the market newspaper or participating shops. This is not a single standard price for all attractions.

Fireworks, a quieter funfair visit and family day

Fireworks are scheduled at Rupeldijk on Saturday, 14 November at 20. On Sunday, 15 November, the funfair offers a less stimulating period between 14 and 16: lighting and music will be reduced, and extra time will be allowed for getting on and off rides. A “Beertjesworp” is also scheduled for Sunday at 18; the organiser will add details about the age groups later.

The festivities end on Monday, 16 November, with a family day offering discounts. Other events include the visit of Sinterklaas, the Sint-Hubertus celebration and the market cross-country race, all part of the separate programme of events in Niel. Not all of these events take place directly at the funfair.

Where is the funfair in Niel?

The funfair area is in the centre of Niel, including at Heideplaats. The map pin is for guidance; a definitive site map showing all the stalls for 2026 is not yet available here. On market day, additional stalls are spread across other streets and squares. If you are specifically going to see the fireworks, note that they are at a separate location on Rupeldijk.
