Mons – Foire d’automne 2026

Foire d’automne Mons 2026 will bring funfair atmosphere to Mons, Belgium, again from Friday, 6 November to Sunday, 6 December 2026. The autumn funfair is spread across two locations with different running times: Grand-Place will be open until 29 November, while Esplanade des Congrès is expected to remain open until 6 December. These dates are confirmed by the official VisitMons tourism portal.

Foire d’automne Mons 2026: Two locations, two closing dates

Grand-Place is one of the city’s central squares. Here, Foire d’automne is part of the autumn cityscape. The historic square brings together the setting of the city centre and the temporary world of a travelling funfair. So if you want to visit the fair towards the end of November, note that this location closes on Sunday, 29 November 2026.

By contrast, according to the official announcement, Esplanade des Congrès will remain an event site until and including Sunday, 6 December 2026. This means there is still a designated location for a funfair visit in December. Be careful not to confuse the two areas when planning your visit.

Rides and funfair atmosphere at Foire d’automne Mons 2026

The concept is a classic foire, that is, a Belgian funfair featuring showmen. However, VisitMons has not yet published a confirmed list of individual rides or showmen for the 2026 edition. We therefore deliberately do not name any supposedly confirmed roller coasters, carousels or operators. Figures for the number of attractions have not been officially confirmed either.

An authentic archive photo shows what Foire d’automne looked like at Grand-Place on 28 November 2012: it shows children’s rides and funfair activity among the historic buildings, among other things. The image gives an authentic impression of the event, but is expressly not a photograph from 2026. The attractions set up this time may differ.

Opening hours, admission and programme

The dates for both locations are confirmed. Specific daily opening and closing times for 2026, as well as any rest days, have not yet been provided on the official event page. That is why this calendar entry does not include precise funfair opening times. The same applies to any special offer days, fireworks or family activities: according to VisitMons, the official programme is still being prepared.

Admission arrangements and individual ride prices have not yet been published there either. If you are planning a visit with children or a group, check these details directly with the organiser before travelling. This will help you avoid relying on prices or offers from previous years.

Getting to Mons and finding your way around

Grand-Place is right in the centre of Mons. Esplanade des Congrès is a useful landmark for the second area. As Foire uses two locations, it is especially important to check the exact destination address. Also check in advance which area will actually still be open on the day you want to visit. A map marker in our calendar shows Grand-Place; it does not represent all the funfair sites.
