What to expect
Hochheimer Markt 2026 invites you to visit the market in Hochheim am Main from 6 November to 10 November 2026. The 540 Hochheimer Markt combines a traditional fair, rides, market stalls and a livestock market, as well as a large trade fair. The official programme for the market 2026 has been published.
Hochheimer Markt 2026: What to expect at the market
The market opens on Friday with a ceremonial opening at 12 at the swing ride. The traditional programme also includes historic showmen's tractors, the livestock market and a historic market area. Tuesday is family day; the final market fireworks are planned for 19. You can also explore the events across the official market areas. The specific offers depend on the information provided by the town or organiser for this year. We therefore do not list any unconfirmed rides or operators.
The special atmosphere in Hochheim am Main
The site is in the Am Weiher area and covers several market areas. The Ferris wheel is a landmark visible from far away. Some food and drink outlets open earlier and stay open longer than the rides. If you stay for a while, you can take your time exploring the different market areas. For families, a visit is a chance to discover traditional and modern market attractions together. It is especially pleasant to plan your walk around the site without rushing.
Hochheimer Markt 2026: Opening times and programme
Rides: Friday and Saturday 11–24, Sunday 11–23, Monday and Tuesday 12–23. Other market areas have different opening times. Other announced events are listed in the structured programme section where an official time has been confirmed. Use the daily overview for the exact market times, where these have been confirmed by the organiser.
Travel information 2026: There are no additional shuttle buses from Hochheim station during the market days because regular S-Bahn services are suspended. Instead, the organiser recommends replacement buses SEV 1E and bus routes 48 and 809. Special buses also run from Rüsselsheim and Bischofsheim. If you are arriving by car, you can use park-and-ride areas in Delkenheim and Nordenstadt, with shuttle buses. Allow a little extra time because of the ring road closure from 4 to 11 November.
Getting there and visitor tips
The event is in Hochheim am Main and is marked on the location map. To make your journey stress-free, check local traffic and parking information. In particular, expect temporary road closures at markets in town centres. It is therefore worth walking or using public transport to get to the market if large crowds are expected.
Good to know before your visit
Hochheimer Markt 2026 is a great destination for a funfair or market visit together. Whether you enjoy trying rides, sampling food or browsing the stalls, the confirmed attractions on site are what matter. Entry to the market is generally free unless the organiser charges an admission fee; rides, purchases and food and drink are charged separately. Check for possible changes shortly before you travel.
In Hochheim, rides and market stalls are part of the festivities. Fireworks are also scheduled for Tuesday, so the final market day is well worth a visit. The different market areas sometimes have their own opening times. You can also check for possible changes before travelling, helping you avoid unnecessary detours. It is also useful to check the weather forecast, as the weather plays an important role at outdoor events. Weekends can be busier, so a relaxed walk around the site without rushing is a good idea.
Further information and sources
The organiser publishes current programme announcements, times and traffic arrangements on its official website. You can find more funfair and fair dates on Kirmestermine.eu. Images from previous years are labelled as archive images; otherwise, we show a generic funfair image.
