Maaseik – Grote Maaseiker Kermis 2027
What to expect
Grote Maaseiker Kermis 2027 is part of the traditional funfair calendar of the Belgian city of Maaseik. For Sunday, 2 May 2027, the funfair date can already be determined from the current municipal funfair regulations. The city schedules the large funfair for the Sunday before Ascension Day. However, the number of further days the showmen's operation 2027 will run has not yet been specifically announced.
Grote Maaseiker Kermis 2027: date and background
The city's regulations explicitly distinguish between the large Maaseik funfair, the Halfvastenkermis and the funfairs in Neeroeteren and Opoeteren. That is why 2 May is the confirmed reference date for this edition, not automatically the entire period of a previous event. The individual set-up and dismantling days, as well as any extension, are subject to a current announcement.
Where the large funfair takes place
The city names the centre of Maaseik as the event area. In 2026, the large funfair used Kolonel Aertsplein. For 2027, this square is a useful landmark, but its allocation has not yet been confirmed. Before travelling, you should therefore check the city's latest information on the actual site.
Grote Maaseiker Kermis 2027: rides and stalls
Rides, games and typical funfair food are part of the funfair experience. It has not yet been announced in an official line-up of rides which showmen and attractions 2027 will actually come to Maaseik. We are therefore deliberately not naming specific rides or prices. Once an official overview is published, the range can be described in more detail.
Opening hours, admission and prices
The official information for the 2026 edition gave a start time of 14 on Sunday. No confirmed closing time is yet available for the confirmed funfair day 2027. There is also no confirmed information about possible admission or ride prices for 2027. Actual times may differ from those given for previous years.
Your visit to Maaseik
If you are planning a visit, start by using the city centre as your reference point and check shortly before the event for possible road closures, parking options and the site plan. Traffic arrangements can change the direct route to the site, particularly for an event in the city centre. No special transport services or parking areas have yet been announced for this edition.
Current information from official sources
The funfair date is based on the municipal funfair regulations of Maaseik. The city's tourist organisation provides additional information about the previous edition. You can find more fairs in the region in our funfair calendar. This information can be updated once Maaseik confirms the final operating days, opening times and line-up of rides.
