Karlsruhe – Karlsruhe Autumn Fair 2026
What to expect
Karlsruhe Autumn Fair 2026 turns the fairground at Durlacher Allee into a major meeting place for funfair fans from 30 October to 9 November. At the 287 edition, you can expect a mix of thrilling rides, children's attractions, game stalls and a wide range of food and drink. The city of Karlsruhe has published not only the dates for the season finale, but also the line-up of rides and numerous programme highlights.
Karlsruhe Autumn Fair 2026: Eleven days at Messplatz
Karlsruhe's Mess’ is a regular fixture in the city's events calendar and takes place in both spring and autumn. For this year's autumn event, the city's market office lists more than 90 attractions. That means more than just major rides: there are also throwing games, prize stalls, children's carousels, confectionery stalls and food and drink outlets. So you can easily spend an afternoon here without sticking only to the big rides.
The fairground is on Durlacher Allee. If you are travelling by public transport, check the latest services and the city's notices before setting off. Opening times vary by day of the week: it stays open later on Fridays and Saturdays, while opening is earlier on Sundays. You can find the times for each day in this event's schedule.
Rides at Karlsruhe Autumn Fair 2026
If you like things fast, the city lists No Limit and Streetfighter, among others. There is also Break Dance, Königlicher Wellenflug, Hupferl and Dance Express. For a different view of the site, take a ride on the Ferris wheel Juwel. If you prefer something spooky, you can visit the ghost train Monsterhaus. The announced attractions also include Theater of Illusions, the walk-through attraction Après-Ski Party and Action Center Remmi Demmi.
There is plenty of choice for children too: the official list includes the children's roller coaster Die verrückte Baustelle, small carousels, a children's swing ride and children's bumper cars. Check at each ride to see what age or height restrictions apply. The attractions named are part of the official 2026 line-up of rides; individual changes on site are possible.
Halloween, family day and special offers
The autumn fair opens with an official opening and ceremonial keg tapping at Krusig’s Dorf. For Halloween weekend, there will be face painting for children, a communal swaying event, spooky characters and a costume competition. On family day, the stalls are expected to offer special discounts. There will also be a coupon promotion on both Mondays and a special afternoon for older visitors. The announced closing fireworks will be the final highlight of the event.
An unusual offer is aimed at children aged six to twelve who have a birthday: for two selected days in November, the city describes a bookable birthday package with rides and games, food, drinks, magic and a souvenir photo. The package costs 25 euros per child and is not a general admission ticket. Places are limited, so you need to book in advance.
Treats between the Ferris wheel and game stalls
Between rides, you can sample a wide range of food. The city lists bratwurst, langos, crêpes, churros, waffles, roasted chestnuts and candied almonds, among other treats. Krusig’s Dorf also has a beer garden with entertainment. This makes it easy to enjoy a varied visit even if not everyone in your group likes the same rides.
