Action Center Remmi Demmi – Marcel Wilhelm
The cakewalk with a history in a Dutch theme park
Operator: Marcel Wilhelm (Ihlow) · since 2016
Action Center Remmi Demmi by Marcel Wilhelm is a travelling funhouse where you get the fun moving yourself. Unlike on a roller coaster, you don't get into a car here: you explore an obstacle course on foot. The attraction is also known by the shorter name Remmi Demmi and is part of the classic cakewalk tradition.

Action Center Remmi Demmi: movement instead of a ride
The special appeal of a cakewalk is that you tackle the obstacles yourself. Instead of following a fixed route set by a machine, you decide how to make your way through with your steps and balance. This hands-on experience is what sets Action Center apart from the big round rides at the fairground. When you visit, it's worth setting aside time for the course rather than just looking at the attraction as you pass by.
The name says it all: “Remmi Demmi” means lively commotion. That suits a funhouse where the shared experience and visitors' reactions are at the heart of it. Groups can enjoy a different kind of fun than on a quiet scenic ride: everyone tackles the same challenges in their own way. If you'd rather get moving than be spun through the air at high speed, this is a good alternative.

History: From Luna-Park to Remmi Demmi
The Action Center has a colourful history. The attraction was built in the Netherlands by Peeters and was initially associated with C. Peeters-Robbe. After further stops in the Netherlands, it was used at the Land van Ooit theme park. There it was called Luna-Park. It then travelled around German fairgrounds with showman Thilo Janßen from Rastede. Today, the attraction travels with Marcel Wilhelm from Ihlow.
This shift between a permanent theme park and the mobile funfair circuit makes the attraction's history special. It didn't just change its name: its setting and audience changed at each stop, too. When you walk through Remmi Demmi today, you experience a piece of German-Dutch showman's history that is still on the road.

Who is Action Center Remmi Demmi for?
Remmi Demmi is for people who enjoy active funfair experiences. You don't need to be keen on inversions or great heights, but you should be up for moving around and tackling changing surfaces. A visit can be combined with quieter rides or a stroll around the market, making it a good option for a family day out. The best way to find out whether particular obstacles are suitable for you is to ask the staff at the entrance.
The attraction belongs to the category of funfair attractions that entertain not through speed, but through a series of small challenges. This also explains why funhouses like this have their own place at fairs alongside Ferris wheels, bumper cars and roller coasters.
