Mini Rally – Willy Krusig junior
The Dietz children's figure-eight ride with two loops
Operator: Willy Krusig junior (Karlsruhe) · since 2022
Mini Rallye by Willy Krusig junior is a travelling children's figure-eight ride that combines a classic funfair look with an unusual track layout. Instead of a simple circle, the ride takes its little vehicles around a double figure eight. The ride was made by German manufacturer Dietz and is one of those children's rides whose history connects several showmen.

According to the technical details from Ride-Index, the track takes up a rectangular area of about 17 by 10 metres. This means the ride can also be set up at fairgrounds where there is only limited space between larger rides. Compact children's attractions like this are important because they give the youngest visitors something of their own alongside the larger rides.

History: From Mini Rallye around the world to Krusig
The children's figure-eight ride was built by Dietz in 1989. For a long time, it was associated with showman Charly Stey from Loizenkirchen under the name “Mini Rallye um die Welt”. An article in the trade magazine Komet documents the change of ownership: Willy Krusig acquired the ride in early January 2022. The Karlsruhe spring fair was its first outing after the purchase.
This marked a new chapter for a ride that had already been part of funfair history for several decades. At the Karlsruhe autumn fair 2026, the city lists the ride specifically as “Mini Rallye” by Willy Krusig junior. This keeps the older Dietz design present in today's showman's scene. Fans of classic children's rides will find this combination of established technology and changing design particularly interesting.

Who is Mini Rallye suitable for?
If your child likes little cars and a winding track, Mini Rallye is worth a look. Its design as a children's figure-eight ride is specifically aimed at younger visitors. Unlike a large roller coaster, the focus here is not on height or top speed, but on the ride through the two loops and the feeling of being on a little racetrack.
The specific rules for riding depend on the posted information and the staff's decision on site. Before getting on, you can ask whether your child may ride alone or needs to be accompanied. Browse our attractions overview to compare other children's rides.
