What to expect

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026 takes place from 4 to 8 November in the historic old town. The 688 edition combines modern rides with the streets and squares between the station, Wiesenkirche, Markt and Dom. The official funfair map has been published and announces eleven rides and attractions making their first appearance in Soest.

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026: five days in the old town

You can start your walk directly at the station and make your way through the town centre to Petrikirchhof and Domplatz. The funfair is spread across several streets and squares. So if you are going with a group, choose a meeting point in advance. You pay separately for individual rides, games and food; access to the funfair site is free.

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026: opening and horse market

The official opening is scheduled for Wednesday, 4 November, at 14 o'clock at Nessy on Kohlbrink. The town key is symbolically handed over to the showmen, and the 50 Jägerken is introduced. On Thursday, 5 November, the horse market follows from 8 to 14 o'clock between Osthofentor and Thomätor. The current programme lists, among other things, agricultural machinery, farm produce, market stalls and horse appraisals.

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026: Rides and new attractions

The eleven new rides include Avenger Royal, Ballon Voyage, Big Bamboo, Eyecatcher, Mythos, Poco Loco, Punk Flasher, Shock Wave, Sound Wave, Spaßstadel and Tiki-Taki. Returning names include Big Monster, Heidi the Coaster, Hangover – The Tower and Nessy. You can find the full named line-up of rides in the associated attractions. The official site plan 2026 is the basis for this information. Changes may be made up to the start of the event.

Read more about the new rides and the anniversary Jägerken in our article about Allerheiligenkirmes 2026. Find more places to visit in the funfair calendar.

Opening times and visiting with children

The dated opening times are listed in a separate section. Note the earliest possible start times on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: all stalls must be open by 15 on Wednesday, 13 on Friday and 11 on Saturday. If you want to visit a particular ride, allow for this time window.

The programme lists children's carousels, children's swing rides and a children's swing, as well as the larger attractions. Free child locator wristbands are available at the children's carousels and at the funfair information stand. Enter a phone number where you can be reached and agree on a meeting point with your children. Height, age and accompaniment rules apply separately to each ride; the instructions at the entrance are binding.

Getting there by train, bus and Park & Ride

The funfair starts right by the station forecourt. The organiser recommends travelling by public transport. At weekends, drivers can use Park & Ride at Senator-Schwartz-Ring, with buses to Puppenstraße: Friday 18 to 2, Saturday 13 to 2 and Sunday 11 to 23. According to the official travel information, the return journey, including parking, costs 3 euros; children up to their 14th birthday travel free. Check current services and closure information before setting off.

Tradition and practical information

A surviving invoice from 1338 provides evidence of Allerheiligenkirmes's long history. Today, you can combine historic churches and half-timbered houses with a variety of funfair experiences on a walking tour. Use the current site plan to find toilets, first aid, escape routes and the funfair information point at the town hall. If it is crowded, it is worth agreeing on your next meeting point before setting off.
