Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026: Road closures and bus services

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026 traffic: Extensive road closures will be in place in Soest town centre during the funfair from 4 to 8 November 2026. The City of Soest announced the closures for the set-up on 19 October. Bus routes will also change. So if you are planning to travel to the funfair, it's worth checking the traffic rules before you set off.

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026 traffic: Which areas are affected?

Preparations began on Monday, 26 October, with the closure of the market square. From Tuesday, 27 October, the Großer Teich car park and Hansaplatz followed. On Wednesday, 28 October, Domplatz, the northern Petrikirchhof and Brüdertor were among the areas added. Restrictions also apply at Kohlbrink, Schweinemarkt and other city-centre parking areas.

By Saturday, 31 October, additional areas had been cleared for the showmen. These include the southern station forecourt, Wiesenstraße and the car park at Museum Wilhelm Morgner. The large-scale set-up began on 31 October at 14. Therefore, you should not count on the usual parking options in the centre being available.

Allerheiligenkirmes Soest 2026 traffic: Take note of the replacement bus station

Important for bus passengers: the bus station is being moved from the station forecourt to Walburger-Osthofen-Wallstraße. The replacement site is opposite Christliches Klinikum Soest Mitte. It will begin operating on Sunday, 1 November, at 6. The car park being used for this has been closed since Saturday evening, 31 October. According to the notice, it will not be available for normal use through 11 November.

Brüder-Walburger-Wallstraße and Walburger-Osthofen-Wallstraße are also closed during funfair opening hours. This applies as far as Osthofentor. Another closure affects Aldegreverwall towards the Brüdertor roundabout, starting at the junction with Vor dem Schonekindtor. According to the city, further restrictions, especially at the weekend, are possible.

How to plan your journey to the Soest funfair

If you are travelling from the region, taking the bus or train is usually the easier option. Check your bus route's actual stopping point in advance, as the stop arrangements at the station are temporarily different. If you are coming by car, read the official information about parking and diversions. Allow extra time as well.

Dismantling is expected to be largely complete by Tuesday, 10 November, after the event ends. It may take longer for particularly large rides. Some areas are therefore expected to remain closed even after the final day of the funfair.
