The Neuwieder Easter funfair 2027 is expected to take place from Friday, 19 March to Tuesday, 30 March 2027 on the Heddesdorfer Kirmeswiese in Neuwied. This is a date forecast based on the Easter pattern of previous editions, not yet official confirmation from the city for 2027. The fair traditionally features rides, children’s carousels and game stalls, as well as sweet and savoury food. Entry to the fairground is usually free; individual rides and purchases cost extra.

Neuwied Easter funfair 2027: funfair ground in Heddesdorf

The funfair ground on Andernacher Straße is one of the familiar venues for fairs in Neuwied. In spring, a lively amusement park takes shape here, where families and funfair fans spend time together. As the site is easy to recognise, it is well suited both to a spontaneous afternoon visit and to a longer stroll. You can move between rides, game stalls and food stalls. It is important to distinguish it from the Heddesdorfer Pfingstkirmes, which is celebrated in May.

Rides, children's activities and tradition

In previous years, the Easter funfair featured various children’s and large rides, skill games and prize draws. In 2026, the city also presented the “Paint instead of pay” activity: children could bring their own funfair-themed artwork and receive ride tokens. Previous editions also included family day offers, Easter fireworks and a nostalgia day. Neuwied Easter Funfair 2027: Opening Hours and Good Friday

The full daily opening and closing times for 2027 are not yet known. The city announced 2026 that opening is at 14 on weekdays and at 12 on Sundays and public holidays. As no complete general closing times for 2027 have been confirmed, our calendar does not currently show an invented schedule. Following tradition, the funfair remains closed on Good Friday; for 2027, that is Friday 26 March. The expected overall dates are also explicitly still subject to the city’s announcement.

Admission, ride prices and visiting with children

You can traditionally visit the public funfair site without a general admission ticket. However, the operators of the rides, game stalls and food and drink stands charge their own prices. Discounts or free rides from the previous year cannot be carried over to 2027. Specific prices and whether a family day will take place will therefore only be added once new information is available. If you are visiting with children in particular, it is worth looking out for age-appropriate carousels and suitable rides. Weatherproof clothing is also recommended for a comfortable visit.
