Gießen Spring Fair 2027: Easter funfair in Gießen

The fairground on Ringallee has space for a variety of rides, game stalls and food and drink outlets. Gießen Marketing organises a spring and an autumn edition there every year. The date has already been announced for 2027 and also follows the official tender for showmen. This means you can plan a spring day out. The Easter holidays also fall right at the start of this year's fair.

Rides, food stalls and activities for families

A Gießen fair includes large rides and walking attractions, children’s carousels, game stalls, shooting galleries, and sweet and savoury snacks. Which specific attractions and operators 2027 will actually be there has not yet been confirmed by a final line-up of rides. Therefore, no attractions from last year’s edition are listed. The city’s general description announces family activities and special offers, whose dates for this edition have yet to be confirmed.

Gießener Frühjahrsmesse 2027: Opening hours

Opening hours are provisional, as of 2026. Last year, the fairground was open from 14 to 22 on Sundays to Thursdays, and until 23 on Fridays and Saturdays. Longer opening hours applied on Easter Sunday. The fairground is therefore scheduled to open until 23 on Easter Sunday, 28 March 2027, according to the provisional timetable currently on file. Good Friday falls on 26 March in 2027, so it is still before the fair begins. The final 2027 publication takes precedence over these previous-year dates.

Family day, fireworks and admission

In previous years, there have been so-called family Thursdays with discounts, a senior citizens' day, special offers for students and a high-altitude fireworks display. These examples describe the fair’s familiar character, but are not confirmed programme dates for 2027. The structured programme therefore remains open until a current announcement is made.
