Crazy Time 2 – Thoma
Take the wheel – bumper cars for children
Operator: Toni Thoma (Andernach)
Crazy Time 2 is a children's bumper car ride operated by showman Toni Thoma. It gives young visitors the special feeling of driving themselves: instead of circling along a fixed carousel track, they use the steering wheel to choose where their little car goes.
The concept is based on full-size bumper cars, but designed for children. This gives the attraction its own place between classic children's carousels and rides for adults.

Highlights & records
Children's bumper cars on their own ride area, with vehicles that children steer themselves; Breuer Mini-Skooter built in 2000.
At Crazy Time 2, young funfair visitors are in the driving seat.
Crazy Time 2: Take the wheel for the first time
After boarding, the young drivers set off across the shared ride area. Each child can choose their own route, steer around corners and react to other vehicles. There is no single set route that all the cars have to follow in turn.
This freedom is what makes it exciting: some children cautiously drive around at first, while others quickly try out the steering. Companions can easily keep an eye on what's happening. You can also watch from outside before boarding to see how the vehicles are steered.
Design and special features
Crazy Time 2 is a mini-skooter by German manufacturer Breuer. The ride was built in 2000. Its well-known design combines a compact ride area with the typical bumper car principle of steering the vehicles yourself.
This makes the ride clearly different from an ordinary children’s carousel. A carousel usually runs automatically. Here, young guests have to choose the direction themselves. This makes the experience interesting for children who like to be active and try things out while riding.

Who is the children's bumper cars suitable for?
If your child enjoys trying things out independently and can already steer with small movements confidently, children's bumper cars are an exciting alternative to a roundabout ride. For their first ride, it may be a good idea to watch a round first.
Ask at the entrance about the current minimum age, height requirements and how to use the vehicles correctly. The showman's team's guidance takes precedence. Find more ideas in the overview of children's rides.
