Jetlag
Tivoli remix with wild multi-axis rotation
Operator: Mario Weber (Moers) · since 2019
Jetlag is a fast-paced round-and-high ride styled like a jet. Since 2019, it has been travelling around funfair sites with showman Mario Weber from Moers. Twelve gondolas spin on their own axes, tilt to the side and rise into the air at the same time. By the end, you really won't know which way is up – hence the name.

Twelve gondolas, several axes of rotation and speeds of up to 100 km/h according to the manufacturer: on Jetlag, you soon won't know which way is up.
What a ride on Jetlag is like
First, you take a seat with another person in a gondola, and the shoulder restraint closes. Then the ride starts moving. The arms rotate around the centre and rise higher and higher. At the same time, the gondola crosses at the ends of the arms rotate. So you don't just fly in circles, but also up and down.
What makes Jetlag special, however, are the gondolas themselves. They can swing freely or tilt at fixed angles of up to 130 degrees. The ride operator decides over the microphone how wild the ride gets. Sometimes it starts off gently; at other times, Jetlag spins you around vigorously. No two rides feel exactly the same.

Jetlag's history and design
When it comes to looks, Jetlag is all about flying. Turbines, a pilot and plenty of aviation details shape the façade. The design is by Atelier Ek. Mario Weber bought the ride new from manufacturer Tivoli in 2019. Since then, Jetlag has travelled to many fairs in Germany, including the Hamburger Dom. The operator also posts current locations on Facebook and Instagram under “Jetlag – The Ride”.
