Hochheimer Markt 2026 is just around the corner, running from 6 to 10 November. In several official press releases, the town has explained how you can get to the fairground despite road closures, which rides await you and what families can look forward to on the final day of the market. Getting there is especially important: due to railway works, there is no regular S-Bahn service to Hochheim station and no additional shuttle bus between the station and the market either.
If you are travelling from Wiesbaden or Frankfurt, you should check your connections in advance. On market days, the SEV 1E rail replacement service will be supplemented by special services. Routes HM1 between Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof and Flörsheim Stadthalle, and HM2 between Frankfurt-Höchst, Hattersheim, Hochheim and Flörsheim, are intended to make the market easier to reach. On particularly busy sections, buses will run as often as every ten minutes at certain times.
There is also a dedicated market bus service from Rüsselsheim, with stops at Parkschule and Böcklersiedlung in Bischofsheim. The return fare is 6 euros for adults and 4 euros for children aged six to fourteen. RMV tickets are not valid on these special buses. If you are travelling by car, you can use the park-and-ride facilities in Delkenheim and Nordenstadt at the weekend. The organiser therefore expressly recommends that you do not drive directly to the market grounds.
From Wednesday, 4 November, from 9, Königsberger Ring will be closed to traffic for the market between the roundabouts at Alleestraße/Danziger Allee and Am Weiher/Dresdener Ring. The closure is expected to remain in place until Wednesday, 11 November. Other streets will be kept clear for emergency vehicles; one-way systems or access restrictions will apply in some places. Vehicles parked illegally may be towed away. So allow extra time and follow the signs on site.
Some bus routes will also be diverted. Stops and routes will change, especially on Saturday and Sunday. You can find the detailed routes in the official travel information. It is more reliable for your specific journey than general timetable information.
Alongside the traffic situation, the city has also presented this year's line-up of rides. For the especially daring, attractions include the approximately 80-metre-high SkyFall drop tower, Airwolf – Sky Control and Jetlag. Taumler and Swing Up are also announced. Swing Up is a modernised classic whose current version made its debut at Hochheimer Markt in 2024.
If you prefer something gentler, you can ride the approximately 44-metre-high Sonnenrad or try the Wellenflug. There are also the large ghost train, the Venezia Labyrinth and the bumper cars. For children, the city lists attractions such as Zauberwelt, Crazy Time 2, Euro Car, Die Montgolfière and The Racing Coaster. The selection shows that the amusement park aims to appeal to both thrill-seekers and families.
On Tuesday, 10 November, participating rides and some confectionery and market stalls will offer special family deals. You can identify the participating businesses by the corresponding family day poster. To round off the day, the market fireworks will begin at 19. This means the highlight is deliberately earlier in the evening and easier for families with younger children to attend.
A free child identification wristband is also available for families. Parents can write the child's name and a reachable mobile phone number on it. According to the city, the wristbands are available at children's rides, in the event office and from the emergency services at the Marktleitwache. Additional mobile radio technology is intended to ease the strain on the mobile network during large visitor crowds.
You can find all dates, opening times and programme details in our event listing for Hochheimer Markt 2026. Before setting off, also check the latest traffic updates, as diversions may affect your journey at short notice.
