What to expect

Foire de Liège 2026 brings the big October funfair back to Boulevard d’Avroy from 3 October to 11 November. In the heart of Liège, the broad avenue becomes a long stretch of entertainment where you can move between rides, game stalls and food stands. The official tourism information lists around 175 attractions and funfair businesses. With so much on offer, it is worth checking the different opening times.

Foire de Liège 2026: a funfair in the heart of the city

Boulevard d’Avroy is in the centre of the Belgian city. Rather than being in a remote fairground, you can enjoy a funfair that blends into the cityscape. This also makes it a good stop for an impromptu visit: you can travel by tram, wander among the stalls and take a break along the way. The site offers classic family entertainment as well as bigger attractions for those who like a little more excitement.

Rides and typical Liège funfair food

The city is promoting the 2026 edition with around 175 attractions. We do not yet have a reliable, complete list of individual stalls and their operators, so we are deliberately not naming any unconfirmed rides here. What you can count on, though, are plenty of sweet and savoury food stands. According to the official visitor information, food outlets at the funfair can open daily from as early as 11:30 o’clock—earlier than the rides. This is handy if you want to eat something before you start exploring the funfair.

Foire de Liège 2026: plan your visit around the opening times

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, rides normally start operating at 15:30 o’clock. On Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, attractions open as early as 14:00 o’clock. The closing time is 01:30 o’clock on Fridays, Saturdays and the days before public holidays, and 00:30 o’clock on other days. In each case, closing is after midnight. You can find the individual days in our opening times section; these have been compiled from the official weekday schedule.

Kids Days and two days with reduced ride prices

For families, 14 October and 4 November are especially interesting: the tourism information announces Kids Days with character mascots on these two Wednesdays. If you want to try as many rides as possible, also make a note of 22 October and 11 November. Both days are advertised as special offer days with reduced ride prices. The discount at each individual ride has not been published consistently. Specific times for the special offers have also not yet been confirmed.

Getting to the funfair by train, tram and park and ride

Getting there without a car is straightforward: according to the tourism information, it takes about ten minutes to walk from Liège-Guillemins station to the funfair. Tram line T1 stops at three stations along the fairground. If you are driving from the surrounding area, the city recommends the park-and-ride sites in Sclessin and Bressoux. The stated parking fee is 1,50 euros per day, plus a TEC ticket. Still, check the latest traffic and fare information before setting off.

Good to know before your visit

Foire de Liège is a traditional public city funfair. Individual ride prices and any possible flat-rate admission fee are not fully itemised in the verified official information. We therefore do not include any unverified prices. A fully confirmed line-up of rides for 2026 is also not yet available. The photos on this page show real past editions of the funfair from 2014 and 2015 and are explicitly archive photos, not pictures of 2026. The latest information is published by Visit Liège.
