Impact – Hamers is a travelling ride that flips and swings, made by the Italian manufacturer Technical Park. Built in 2005, this Streetfighter is one of the best-known large swinging rides at Dutch and Belgian funfairs. Over the years, it has operated with several showmen and is now associated with Hamers or Hamers-Trompert.

Impact at Dutch and Belgian fairgrounds

A funfair report from Renesse already lists Impact under Hamers-Lutjens in 2019. The ride was also listed as Impact by Hamers-Trompert at the funfair in Waalwijk in 2025. The published line-up of rides for Jaarmarktkermis Niel in November 2026 lists Impact with Ricardo Hamers and the Streetfighter type. These appearances show how the ride moves between events in the Netherlands and Belgium. You can find more rides in our attraction directory.

What it’s like to ride Impact – Hamers

On Impact, you sit in a group of seats attached to a moving arm. The distinctive experience comes from the swinging motion combined with the extra rotation of the seating unit. The changing angle against the horizon makes the Streetfighter a much more intense alternative to a traditional swinging ship ride. If you enjoy rides like this, you’ll experience a combination of height, speed and changes of direction. It rides differently from a propeller ride: the focus is on the swinging motion of the Streetfighter concept.

History of the Impact Streetfighter

The Streetfighter was built by Technical Park in 2005. H. de Voer is initially listed in the operator history for the years 2005 to 2007. Impact then travelled under Hamers-Lutjens, before Hamers-Trompert is named from 2021 onwards. This makes it possible to trace the ride over the years despite the different operator names. This is important because the name Impact alone does not guarantee the identity of a particular ride. The documented history links the current ride to the one built in 2005.

Who is Impact – Hamers suitable for?

Impact mainly appeals to funfair visitors looking for a powerful swinging ride and who enjoy rapid changes in direction. The seats move together, so the experience does not feel like a single freely spinning gondola. The ride is particularly striking in operation when its movement rises above the actual footprint of the ride. The specific rules on height, age and access are displayed at the ride; before riding, you should follow the staff’s instructions.
