Air One Maxxx combines the swinging motion of a large pendulum with gondolas that continually change position – a special experience for thrill seekers.
The Air One Maxxx Lerendu ride experience
The ride's distinctive concept is clear as soon as it starts moving. A large arm swings the seating groups into the air while the gondolas also rotate. This means your direction of view keeps changing. One moment, the fairground is far below you; shortly afterwards, the gondola moves into a new position. The combination of height, swinging and rotation makes the experience much more varied than on a traditional swinging ship.
The seats are arranged in several gondolas. Since each gondola can move independently, you get different impressions during the same ride cycle. As a result, your ride is not always exactly the same. The ride is also impressive from the outside: the large pendulum arm and moving gondolas make its operating principle easy to see.

The history of Air One Maxxx Lerendu
Manufacturer KMG built Air One Maxxx in 2012 as an early example of the Sicko concept. French showman Dominique Lerendu introduced the ride in the same year. A report from Arras documents the new ride and its distinctive features. The unusual combination at the time of a large swing and six moving gondolas made Air One Maxxx a remarkable new addition to French fairgrounds.
Its travel history also includes some notable stops. In 2015, the ride spent some time at Walygator theme park. In 2016, it visited several Dutch funfairs under Dauphin. These appearances show how flexibly the travelling ride could be used at different venues. The name Air One Maxxx remained its distinctive hallmark.

Organiser and special features
Air One Maxxx is associated with the Lerendu family from France. The Sicko ride has six gondolas, each with four seats. The large pendulum arm defines the ride's silhouette. It was built for travelling and can therefore be transported between different funfair sites. Its independently moving gondolas set it apart from many other pendulum rides.
Who is the Sicko swing ride for?
Air One Maxxx is for visitors who enjoy intense round rides and large swinging motions. The additional rotations can greatly change your sense of orientation. If you are sensitive to such movements, you should watch the ride from the outside first. For experienced funfair fans, this combination of swinging and rotating is precisely what makes it special.
The ride is also interesting to watch. When it is moving at full speed, you can clearly distinguish the different axes of rotation. This shows why the Sicko design offers a ride experience of its own. To compare it with other KMG rides, you can use our ride overview.
