Spa – Foire de l’Ascension 2027
What to expect
Foire de l’Ascension Spa 2027 is scheduled from 30.04 to 09.05.2027 according to the official annual rule. Here you’ll find information for your funfair visit.
Foire de l’Ascension Spa 2027: dates and planning
The city of Spa sets the dates for its Ascension Day funfair according to a fixed annual rule. Under this rule, it starts on the Friday of the week before Ascension Day and ends on the Sunday of Ascension week. As Ascension Day falls on 6 May in 2027, this means Friday 30 April to Sunday 9 May 2027. The dates can therefore be officially determined. However, a separate programme announcement for 2027 is still pending.
Where is the funfair site?
The current municipal regulations explicitly name Place Royale and Parc de Sept Heures as the location. The park is a well-known green space in the centre of Spa. The city may still change the precise layout of the showmen’s areas. The location is therefore confirmed, but a detailed site plan for 2027 is not yet available. Visitors should pay particular attention to information about the actual layout of the attractions.
Rides and attractions
The Kermesse de l’Ascension is a traditional public fair with showmen’s attractions. The municipal regulations provide for attractions and showmen’s catering businesses. The specific businesses taking part in 2027 have not yet been officially announced. Therefore, no past appearances or specific rides are promised. No special debuts or programme events have been announced either.
Foire de l’Ascension Spa 2027: admission and opening times
Admission to the funfair site is listed as free in this entry. This does not mean that rides, food and other offerings are free. Individual attractions may charge a fee. No definitive price list for rides at 2027 has been announced yet. There is also no current information about possible discounts. Daily opening times have not yet been officially announced. We therefore deliberately do not show any invented opening or closing times. Once reliable information is available, the times can be added to the event calendar.
Getting there and parking
Place Royale in the centre of Spa is a suitable destination for your journey. The Parc de Sept Heures is right nearby. Check the city’s latest traffic and parking information before your visit. Public transport services may also change on public holidays. It is especially advisable to check for last-minute updates over the long Ascension Day weekend.
Event tradition and information
The Ascension Day funfair is listed in Spa as a recurring public event. In November 2025, the city updated its regulations on the fairground site and event period. These regulations provide the basis for the date calculated here. However, they do not confirm specific opening hours or a list of showmen. Further definitive details must therefore come from the announcement for the 2027 edition. Find more funfair dates in the event calendar. You can also find the latest updates on the official website.
