Coesfeld – Kreuzerhöhungskirmes 2027

Kreuzerhöhungskirmes 2027 officially takes place from Saturday, 18 September, to Monday, 20 September 2027. The City of Coesfeld has already published the dates and opening times. The funfair site is around Holtwicker Straße and the Agentur für Arbeit car park. There, you can enjoy a traditional fair with a changing selection of rides, game stalls and food and drink.

Kreuzerhöhungskirmes 2027 on Holtwicker Straße

The event site covers the car park in front of the Agentur für Arbeit and the surrounding streets. According to the city's description, these include Holtwicker Straße, Osterwicker Straße and Friedrich-Ebert-Straße. This means the funfair is not on the city's central market square. If you are travelling to the event, make sure you have the right destination. Some sections of road are closed to vehicles during set-up and the funfair.

Rides for adrenaline and funfair fans

The city reported around 40 showmen and various attractions for the 2026 edition. These included Salto Mortale, a Break Dance and Musik-Express. Bumper cars, a glass maze and children's carousels were also announced. These names refer specifically to the previous year's edition. The line-up of rides for September 2027 has not yet been announced. For this reason, previous attractions are not listed as confirmed participants.

Kreuzerhöhungskirmes 2027: opening times

The City of Coesfeld has already published the times for 2027. On Saturday, the funfair opens at 14 and closes at midnight. On Sunday, the attractions are open from 11 to 22. On Monday, the funfair runs from 14 to 21. The three different time slots are listed separately in the MEC schedule. This lets you plan your visit without relying on estimated opening times.

Family day and traditional fireworks

Kreuzerhöhungskirmes is also a popular day out for families. The 2026 edition had a family day on Monday with special offers. The city also announced fireworks for around 21:30 on Saturday evening that year. It has not yet been explicitly confirmed whether both events will take place in the same format in 2027. For this reason, previous times have not been added as new programme times. The details can be updated once the city publishes the current programme.

Funfair treats and admission

You can also look forward to typical market treats away from the rides. The selection in previous years has included roasted almonds, churros, Baumstriezel and various takeaway dishes. There are also game stalls such as duck fishing and shooting galleries. Admission to the public funfair site has been free in previous years. You pay separately for rides, games and food. Special offers and prices are set by the participating businesses.

Getting to the Coesfeld funfair

Kreuzerhöhungskirmes takes place in the northern part of the city centre, around Holtwicker Straße. If you are driving, do not head for the closed event areas. We recommend parking outside the immediate funfair site. You can also reach Coesfeld by bus or train.
