Cranger Weihnachtszauber 2026: New shows and Tuesday savings

Cranger Weihnachtszauber 2026 opens on 19 November in Herne, with new shows, a free-entry day and an additional avenue of lights. Cranger Weihnachtszauber 2026: Free entry on Tuesdays

New this year is “Herner Zauber Dienstag”: entry to the event site is free every Tuesday. Visitors also receive 50 cents off at participating food and sales stalls. According to the organiser, rides each offer a one-euro discount. This makes a visit during the week especially worthwhile for families. The discounts apply to participating offers and not to all services across the board.

Premiere of the fire and ice show “Ice on Fire”

The show “Ice on Fire” premieres on the large real ice rink on 2026. International performers combine figure skating, acrobatics and fire effects. The ice rink and curling lanes are also returning. If you'd like to take part yourself, you can reserve a curling lane in advance. The Grinch takes to the skies above Crange

Something new is also planned above the visitors' heads. The flying Father Christmas remains part of the programme, soaring with his sleigh more than 20 metres above the site. The organiser has also announced a Grinch high-wire act. This expands the show programme beyond the ice rink and into the air. Performance times may change depending on the weather.

Cranger Weihnachtszauber 2026: Second avenue of lights

Alongside the well-known Funkelgasse, the new Sternschnuppen-Allee is planned. It will add another illuminated themed area to the route. Around 400 real Christmas trees and about ten kilometres of Christmas garlands will provide the decorations. The organiser also mentions approximately 48.000 baubles and 26.000 bows. The result will be a setting that brings together a Christmas market and funfair.

Christmas funfair, food and fireworks

In addition to the shows, the attractions include rides, market stalls, food and drink, and the fairytale forest. New food concepts complement the traditional winter dishes.
