What to expect

Neuruppiner Martinimarkt 2026 brings the funfair atmosphere back to the Fontane city of Neuruppin from 30 October to 8 November 2026. For ten days, Karl-Marx-Straße between Schulplatz and Bernhard-Brasch-Platz is transformed into a large amusement mile. More than 100 showmen are expected, including around 20 rides. The traditional Martinimarkt is also celebrating its 370 edition this year. Entry to the festival site is free; rides, games and food and drink are paid for separately.

Neuruppiner Martinimarkt 2026: Rides and attractions

From family-friendly carousels to high-thrill rides, the selection 2026 is particularly varied. The city of Neuruppin lists, among others, the 55-metre-high Booster Anubis von Denies-Kipp, Pacific Rim von Groß, Ghost Rider von Löffelhardt, 1001 Nacht von Hartmann and Big Spin von Welte. They are joined by Geisler’s nostalgic two-storey steam carousel classic, as well as Magic, Speedy, Jumpstreet and the Geistertempel. The announced attractions also include a Ferris wheel, bumper cars and Break Dance. In total, 20 rides, three prize stalls and 14 shooting, games and throwing stalls have been named. However, individual line-ups may change at short notice.

Neuruppiner Martinimarkt 2026: Fireworks and programme

On Friday, 30 October, the event kicks off with a public service for showmen on the bumper cars. Mayor Nico Ruhle then officially opens the Martinimarkt. Towards evening, two torchlight and lantern parades make their way through Neuruppin. Halloween is on the programme as early as Saturday, 31 October. This is followed by the voucher days on 2 and 5 November, Ladies’ Night on 3 November and family day on Wednesday, 4 November. A particular highlight is the fireworks on Friday, 6 November, at 22 o’clock. Magical moments are promised on Saturday, 7 November, before the final day of the funfair arrives on Sunday, 8 November. You can also find all officially dated highlights in the programme on this event page.

370 years of market tradition in the heart of Neuruppin

Martinimarkt is one of Brandenburg’s best-known autumn funfairs. Its history dates back to 1656. Today, centuries-old fairground traditions meet modern showman technology along the festival mile. According to the city, more than a million LED lights create the characteristic atmosphere, especially after dark. Unlike a fair held on an out-of-the-way site, this funfair takes place right in the city centre. You can combine a ride with a stroll among the many game stalls and food outlets.

Opening times and family day

The opening time is 14 o’clock on all ten days of the event. On Fridays and Saturdays, the funfair stays open until midnight; from Sunday, 1 November, to Thursday, 5 November, it is open until 22 o’clock. On the closing Sunday, 8 November, it closes earlier, at 20 o’clock. To keep the overview concise, days with the same times are grouped together in the opening times schedule. On family day, you can look out for special offers for children. The voucher days are also a good reason to visit during the week.

Roasted almonds, langos and other treats

The experience includes a variety of food stalls alongside the rides. The city has announced langos, Krakauer sausages, crêpes, mushrooms, burgers and hot dogs, among other things. This year’s offering also includes pasta and empanadas. For something sweet, you can find lard pastries, candyfloss, churros and candied fruit, for example. It’s best to allow yourself a little time to browse between the stalls. Cash is recommended, as card payments may not be available at every stall.

Getting there and tips for your visit

Neuruppin’s Martinimarkt stretches along Karl-Marx-Straße from Schulplatz to Bernhard-Brasch-Platz. You can reach the city centre by train via Neuruppin West and Rheinsberger Tor stations. If you are travelling by car, you should check local road closures and how full the car parks are. There are several shops and cash machines nearby. If you are visiting with young children, ear protection and breaks away from the noisier rides are a good idea. You can find more details in the official announcement by the town of Neuruppin and on the city marketing website. And if you would like to enjoy more funfairs, you can find additional dates in the funfair calendar and lots of rides in the attractions directory.
