Highlights & records
Pendulum ride with four freely spinning four-seat gondolas on a swinging arm; inversions possible; reaches a height of 18 metres and 3–4 G, according to the operator.
One swinging arm, four freely spinning gondolas and up to 4 G: Pegasus is compact, upside-down fun from Italy.
What riding Pegasus by Jolliet is like
You sit in a gondola with three other people. At first, the arm swings gently back and forth, then gains height with each swing. At the same time, the gondolas start spinning. How much they rotate also depends on how the passengers' weight is distributed. So no two rides feel exactly the same. According to the operator, the ride reaches forces of three to four G, and the attraction reaches a height of 18 metres at its highest point.

Pegasus by Jolliet: history and technology
Technical Park offers Pegasus in two sizes: Pegasus 16 and Pegasus 30. The attraction owned by the Jolliet showman family from Lucerne is the smaller version, with 16 seats. It made its debut in 2015 at the Abbaye in Fleurier. Since then, Pegasus has travelled to Swiss Chilbis and fairs, including 2026 at the Rosentalanlage during the Basler Herbstmesse.
The footprint measures 16 by 19 metres, and the ride weighs around 47 tonnes. Two transport units are enough, making the attraction relatively compact. You can find more upside-down rides in our attractions overview, and current dates in the funfair calendar.

Who is Pegasus suitable for?
Pegasus is a thrill ride for teenagers and adults who enjoy inversions. If you haven't ridden a similar attraction before, it's best to watch a full cycle first. You can find the height restrictions and rules on accompanying riders at the ride itself. Good to know: at the Basler Herbstmesse 2026, Pegasus was the most expensive ride, at 12 francs per ride. For photos, choose a spot at a safe distance so you can see the whole swinging arm.
