New World XXL Krismann is a French upside-down ride that stands out from a distance with its tall, rotating arm. This travelling Fabbri Inversion XXL combines a large circular motion with freely moving seating groups. It is the combination of height, speed and changing direction of view that makes the ride such a striking sight at French fairs.

Four moving gondola groups on the tall swinging arm make New World XXL a striking upside-down attraction at French fairgrounds.

A striking sight at French fairgrounds

The footage from Strasbourg shows the typical combination of a silhouette visible from far away and moving gondolas. The example from Angers also shows how much a single ride can shape the appearance of an entire row of attractions. When it is dark, the lighting adds to the effect; during the day, you can see the structure and movements particularly clearly. This makes New World XXL interesting both for riders and for people who enjoy watching rides.

What a ride on New World XXL Krismann is like

The main arm lifts riders high above the fairground before bringing them back down in a large sweeping motion. At its end are four gondola groups, each with four seats. The seating groups can also move as the arm follows its path. This is no ordinary swinging ride: the riders’ orientation changes continuously, and the surroundings repeatedly seem to turn upside down.

The contrast between the brief view from above and the rapid transition to the next movement is particularly exciting. At the Foire Saint-Jean in Strasbourg, the kirmesfanmopohl video channel filmed the ride both from a gondola and from outside. This lets you compare the ride from two perspectives before deciding whether to ride it yourself.

History of New World XXL Krismann

The French showman Yohann Krismann is documented as the operator of this New World XXL. A report on the Foire Saint-Martin in Angers introduced him 2024 alongside his son Hanz and the ride. The ride is also listed under Krismann in a current overview of travelling rides in France. The manufacturer Fabbri classifies the design as an Inversion XXL.

In French reports, the name is sometimes written as “XXL New World”. It should not be confused with another ride just because its name sounds similar. New World XXL is also mentioned in the city’s event information for the 2026 edition of the Foire Saint-Romain in Rouen. This makes it one of the striking upside-down attractions that draw visitors at large French fairgrounds.

Who is the Inversion for?

The ride is aimed mainly at visitors looking for powerful upside-down movements. Unlike a traditional swing carousel, you do not simply travel in a steady circle; you also experience the seating groups rotating. This makes New World XXL especially appealing to fans of large propeller and inversion rides.

If you are visiting with friends, it is worth watching the ride from outside first: the movements of the arm and gondolas are particularly easy to see there. You can find the current safety and access requirements at the ride itself. For an overview of other travelling rides, visit our attractions directory.
