An interactive ride through the video game world
The Laser-Pix ride experience
During the ride, you score points with a laser device. The scenes are inspired by the video game aesthetic of the eighties. You do not just watch the scenery pass by; you actively influence the outcome of your round. The hand-held device, referred to as Laser Booster on the Cranger organiser's website, is part of the game.
You therefore need to focus on both your surroundings and the targets. As the car moves on, new opportunities to play keep appearing. You can enjoy the ride as a little competition with friends. Even if you prefer to watch, you can still get a sense of how this colourful game world is designed.

Technology and construction
Laser-Pix is documented as an interactive two-storey ride. Ride-Index lists a frontage of 30 metres, a depth of 16 metres and a total height of twelve metres. The power requirement is 50 kilowatts. These technical details describe the ride and do not indicate its price or the duration of a single ride.
The database used does not name a manufacturer or confirm the current number of cars. These details are therefore not taken from similar themed rides. Interaction with the targets is listed as a feature; the route remains a guided ride and is not freely controlled by passengers.
History and operator
Today's Laser-Pix was created through a conversion in 2016. The ride was previously known as Tanz der Vampire and belonged to Helmut Nitzsche from Berlin until July 2016. The conversion year refers to its transformation into an interactive ride and is not a confirmed original construction year.
Ride-Index currently lists Oliver Jehn from Wutha-Farnroda as the operator. The official line-up of rides for Cranger Kirmes 2026 names Oliver Jehn KG. This makes it possible to identify the ride both from its history and its current appearance at the fair.
