Highlights & records
Glass maze with jungle effects and a jungle theme, according to the official Kermiskrant Hoorn.
Jungle Safari turns transparent paths into a little jungle adventure – here, your sense of direction matters more than speed.
Jungle Safari: between glass walls and jungle scenes
The basic idea is simple and effective: in a glass maze, you cannot always see the next path at first glance. You can see through the glass, but not every visible route leads straight onwards. So you need to stay alert as you walk and keep finding your bearings. This blend of clear views and unexpected dead ends is what sets Jungle Safari apart from a classic ghost train.
The official fair newspaper from Hoorn describes the attraction specifically as a “glazen doolhof” (glass maze) with jungle effects and a jungle experience. So the theme is more than just a name: the scenery is part of the concept. Instead of high-speed rides, the attraction offers an experience where you set your own pace. If you are there with friends, you can work out together which turning might be the best next choice.
The combination of a glass maze and tropical design is also striking from the outside. The expedition through a seemingly open but winding space is at the heart of the attraction. Unlike a walk-through attraction with a set route, this one focuses more on finding the right way.
Jungle Safari at Dutch fairgrounds
The showman W. Brunselaar is named alongside Jungle Safari in the official Hoornse Kermis documents. The fair newspapers 2024 and 2025 list the glass maze at Nieuwstraat. Kermis Volendam also lists Jungle Safari by B&R Brunselaar for 2026 in the Zeestraat\/Europaplein area. These appearances show that the attraction travels to different fairgrounds.

Who is it for?
If you like exploring on foot and enjoy little navigation challenges, Jungle Safari is an alternative to the usual round rides. The glass maze is for visitors who would rather explore than be swept through the air high above the ground. It also makes a good activity to enjoy together: children can search for the way with their companions, while adults take in the design and surprising sightlines.
You should move through the maze carefully and calmly. Transparent walls can easily go unnoticed if you move too quickly. So pay attention to staff instructions and the access rules at the venue. That way, finding the exit remains the fun part.
