Highlights & records

Four walk-through floors with a fire station theme, water and fire effects, and a spiral slide at the end of the course.

At Feuer Alarm, you become part of the action: a fire station funhouse to walk through, with several levels and a thrilling slide at the end.

Experience Feuer Alarm Schmidt

At Feuer Alarm, you’re on the move yourself: you walk through the attraction and tackle various stations. The fire station theme ties the different elements together in a playful rescue mission. Water and fire effects are part of the show, and the route spans several floors. At the end, a spiral slide brings the tour to a lively finish.

Unlike a ghost train, you don’t sit in a car and get taken past scenes. Instead, you largely set your own pace along the prescribed route. This creates a different experience from a classic ride that takes you around a circuit. The changing levels and combination of movement and surprises are what make it especially appealing.

The large red façade gives you a hint of the theme from the outside. It resembles a fire station and signals that the interior is all about a playful rescue mission. The elaborate design is also a striking feature of the fairground for spectators.

History of the fire station funhouse

Willy Schmidt had the attraction made in the Czech Republic. Feuer Alarm made its public debut in spring 2023 at the Frühlingsfest in Wilhelmshaven. In its first season, the new walk-through attraction was also presented at other fairs in northern Germany. Coverage from Rhauderfehn described it as a new attraction for visitors of all ages.

The fire station funhouse also appeared at the Bremer Freimarkt that same year. A report in the Bremen city magazine highlighted its four levels, effects and spiral slide. Feuer Alarm is therefore a relatively recent example of how the classic walk-through attraction has evolved: visitors move on foot, but the theme runs from the façade to the final section of the route.

Who is Feuer Alarm Schmidt for?

This walk-through attraction is for visitors who prefer to take an active part rather than be carried along on a ride. Families can explore the course together. If you’re interested in funhouse design, you’ll find a clear story here rather than just a series of obstacles.

The route across several levels and the slide require agility. You can find out directly from the operator which age or height restrictions apply. If you’d like to discover more walk-through funfair attractions, browse our attractions overview.
