Verviers – Carnival Fair 2027

The Foire de Carnaval Verviers 2027 is expected to take place at Place Verte from Friday, 19 February, to Sunday, 21 February 2027. The dates are listed in a funfair calendar; separate official confirmation of the funfair is still pending. However, the carnival association confirms the festival weekend from 18 to 21 February 2027. This offers a good opportunity to combine carnival with a little stroll around the funfair in the city.

Foire de Carnaval Verviers 2027 at Place Verte

Place Verte is centrally located in Verviers, in the province of Liège. The town square is used for various events and was also the venue for a small funfair during Carnival 2026. The Carnival funfair should not be confused with the much larger Easter fair held in other squares. You can also easily reach the site while strolling through the centre. However, the exact layout of the stalls for 2027 and final approval of the funfair have yet to be announced.

Rides, games and food

For the 2026 edition, a children's carousel, a duck fishing game, a funfair, and food stalls selling sweets and savoury dishes were among the attractions announced. This information relates exclusively to the previous year. Therefore, we cannot say that any of the individual attractions are definitely confirmed for 2027. The small fair is generally better suited to families and a shorter visit than to a full-day funfair. If an up-to-date line-up of rides is published, the rides can then be identified with certainty.

Foire de Carnaval Verviers 2027: Opening times

The daily opening hours for edition 2027 have not yet been published. Last year, fixed opening and closing times were announced for the funfair at Place Verte, but that alone does not confirm a new schedule. The structured timetable will therefore remain empty for now. Carnival weekend in Verviers

The local carnival club has already announced celebrations for 18 to 21 February 2027. The programme includes a carnival parade on Sunday, 21 February, starting at 13. This parade is a separate part of the carnival programme, not an opening time for the funfair. Road closures and traffic restrictions may also occur around the parade. Further performances or additional programme items will be added only when the final announcement for the year is published.

Admission and getting there

Access to Place Verte is generally free; you pay separately for rides, games and food and drink. No separate admission rules for the 2027 funfair have been published yet. You can reach Verviers city centre by bus and train. On Carnival Sunday, be aware of diversions around the event.
