Höxter – Huxori-Markt 2027

Huxori-Markt 2027 is scheduled to take place from Friday, 24 September to Sunday, 26 September 2027 in the historic old town of Höxter. The date follows the town's rule for the last weekend in September; the business association has not yet announced the detailed programme for 2027. Traditionally, Huxori combines a large street market with funfair attractions, stages and a shopping trip.

During Huxori-Markt, Höxter's town centre turns into a lively festival area. The main areas are around the Market Square, the pedestrian zone and the neighbouring streets. The Höxter business association has organised the town festival for many years, making it one of the major events in Höxter district. Many visitors combine a visit to the market with a stroll among historic buildings and market stalls.

Market stalls, specialities and children's flea market

An important feature is the mix of market stalls and food and drink. In 2026, the organisers reported more than 100 market stalls and a varied range of goods. There are also sales promotions at local shops and a children's flea market. This area gives younger visitors the chance to sell things themselves or look for little treasures. It has not yet been confirmed which market stalls will take part in 2027.

Huxori-Markt 2027: rides and entertainment

According to the business association, rides are expressly part of the traditional Huxori programme. So the festival offers not only market stalls but also a classic funfair atmosphere. There are also stage performances, live music and events organised by local restaurants and bars. It is not yet known which showmen and music groups will be booked for September 2027. We therefore do not list any attraction as a confirmed line-up of rides for the next edition.

Shopping and Sunday opening

During Huxori-Markt, shops are usually open for longer on Saturday. A Sunday opening is also traditionally organised. For 2026, the business association announced that shops would be open on Sunday from 13 to 18. The town's regulations allow such openings on the last weekend in September. However, wait for the specific announcement for Sunday, 26 September 2027, before planning your shopping trip.

Admission, opening times and family tips

Based on past practice, there is no admission charge to the public market and funfair area. Individual rides, purchases, food and drinks are charged separately. The town's market regulations set Huxori's event period from Friday at 14 until Sunday at 22. However, this is not a published full daily schedule for all attractions. We therefore do not show invented daily opening times in the calendar. Opening times have not yet been published.

Getting to Huxori-Markt in Höxter

The pedestrian zone is in the centre of Höxter and is easy to explore on foot. During Huxori-Markt, streets around the old town are regularly closed for periods. For example, in 2026, Westerbachstraße and several side streets were affected by traffic changes. Current arrangements for September 2027 have not yet been published. We recommend checking the town's notices before setting off.
