Hannover – Oktoberfest Hannover 2027

The Oktoberfest Hannover 2027 takes place from Friday, 24 September to Sunday, 10 October 2027 at Schützenplatz. The dates are confirmed in the state capital’s official multi-year fair calendar. This autumn fair offers rides, games, food and drink, and cosy festival tents. Admission to the public fairground is free; rides, games and food are paid for separately.

Oktoberfest Hannover 2027 at Schützenplatz

The Oktoberfest at Schützenplatz is one of the region’s major autumn fairs. It combines classic funfair attractions with a festive atmosphere and food and drink. Stalls and rides are spread across the spacious site near Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena. Alongside fast spinning rides, there are traditionally attractions for children. However, the showmen actually attending the 2027 edition have not yet been confirmed in a complete, up-to-date line-up. We therefore do not include any names solely on the basis of previous years.

Rides, festival tents and treats

Especially in the evening, the illuminated rides create an atmospheric fairground scene. The usual attractions also include game stalls, food stalls and larger festival tents. You can enjoy a fast ride around the site, take a break for a hearty meal or meet up with friends. Part of the programme usually takes place in the tents. However, the names of the performers and the specific tent programmes for autumn 2027 will only be confirmed in a current announcement.

Oktoberfest Hannover 2027: Opening hours and days off

Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. At the last event, the fairground was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, opening hours were 15 to 23, on Fridays and Saturdays 15 until midnight, and on Sundays and public holidays 14 to 23. Opening hours could be extended on the eve of public holidays. These known weekly patterns have been carried over into the schedule, but are not presented as individually confirmed closing times for 2027. The public holiday rule applies to German Unity Day on Sunday, 3 October 2027. Please check for any updated opening times before your visit.

Family days and fireworks at Oktoberfest

In 2026, discounted family days were held on Wednesdays and fireworks were scheduled for Fridays. There was also a lantern parade and various events in the festival tent. These highlights from the previous year are not automatically confirmed for 2027. As the confirmed dates and times are not yet available, no specific events have been added to the structured programme list. Once the organiser publishes a new overview, all highlights can be listed accurately for each day.

Admission, parking and getting to Hanover

Admission to Oktoberfest at Schützenplatz is free. However, you pay separately for rides, games and food and drink. The nearest light rail and bus services can help you get there; during major events, using public transport is recommended.
