Mettwurstmarkt 2027 is expected to take place in Ennigerloh from Saturday, 25 September to Tuesday, 28 September 2027, in accordance with the official annual rule. The traditional market has also been part of town life since 1885. Its familiar event format includes a large funfair in the town centre, a trade fair, a flea market, market stalls and an entertainment programme. Details for 2027 have not yet been announced.

Mettwurstmarkt 2027 in the heart of Ennigerloh

For Mettwurstmarkt, the centre of Ennigerloh turns into a large festival area. The Marktplatz and several streets in the town centre provide the setting. The town describes the event as one of its defining traditional celebrations and the largest town-centre funfair in the district of Warendorf. The market has also been running since 1885 and has developed over time from a trading market into a combination of fair and regional meeting place. The four festival days traditionally run until the last Tuesday in September.

Funfair rides and activities for children

A key feature is the changing selection of rides for different age groups. In 2026, for example, the town marketing office named Salto Mortale, Geister Hotel, Musik-Shop, the bumper cars Highway No. 1 and the Avengers-Scheibenwischer. Attractions for children included Babyflug and children's carousels. However, this list applies only to the previous edition. The rides that will actually be at Mettwurstmarkt 2027 have not yet been announced. Therefore, no previous participants are listed as a confirmed current line-up of rides.

Mettwurstmarkt 2027: trade fair and flea market

On Saturday and Sunday, a trade fair traditionally takes place alongside the funfair on Elmstraße and Clemens-August-Straße. Regional businesses, for example, showcase products and services there. At the same time, a flea market is usually held on Bahnhofstraße, where you can look for second-hand books, toys and other finds. Tuesday is market-stall day in Ennigerloh

The last Tuesday in September is the main day for the market stalls. According to the town, the stalls stretch for more than two kilometres through the town centre. Traders offer new goods, everyday items, decorations, clothing and regional specialities. On 28 September 2027, the annual market day falls on a Tuesday. Official trading hours at previous editions were therefore 9 to 18. However, these are not automatically the opening hours for all rides, so they are not included in the MEC funfair schedule.

Family day, live music and fireworks

Monday is also traditionally a popular family day. In 2026, the organisers announced discounted ride fares and evening fireworks. There were also various concerts on the stage at Teufelsbrunnen and a Sunday shopping event. The town marketing office has yet to confirm whether the exact programme 2027 will remain the same. The streets used for Mettwurstmarkt have traditionally been open to the public. Visitors pay separately for rides, shopping and food.
