Düsseldorfer Herbstkirmes 2026 brings the funfair atmosphere right to the Rhine once again from 23 October to 1 November. At Tonhallenufer, just a short walk from the Old Town, rides, game stalls and food stands take centre stage. The organiser is Schaustellerverband Düsseldorf. This is specifically the smaller autumn funfair, not the large Rheinkirmes on the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen.

Düsseldorf Autumn Funfair 2026: The confirmed dates

The showmen’s association gives the confirmed period as Friday, 23 October, to Sunday, 1 November 2026. This is important because a brief tourist description still gives 31 October as the last day. The current showmen’s association dates page explicitly includes All Saints’ Day, 1 November. On the last day, operations are due to begin only at 18 o’clock because it is a quiet public holiday. The daily opening times are not entirely consistent across event announcements, so we are avoiding a seemingly precise but unverified day-by-day schedule.

Which rides can you look forward to at Tonhallenufer?

The classic funfair attractions include bumper cars, children's carousels and Schlager-Express. Düsseldorf's official tourism information also mentions the funhouse Action-House. This makes the autumn funfair an appealing choice both for a family afternoon and for a spontaneous visit after work. However, we do not have the complete line-up of rides confirmed by the organiser, including all operators. So we have not turned individual mentions into a supposedly complete list.

Düsseldorf Autumn Funfair 2026: Events and Halloween

The tourist information office announces a Halloween special with shops decorated for the occasion and costumed showmen. Fireworks are also planned. However, the conflicting advance announcements do not provide a reliable date for the fireworks, so they should not be listed in the calendar as a confirmed programme item. The published information also differs on the day of the week for family day. Check the latest announcement immediately before your visit rather than relying on an unverified promise of a discount.

Antenne-Düsseldorf promotion day

Antenne Düsseldorf has announced its own promotion day for Tuesday, 27 October. According to the station, visitors can get an extra ride token when buying one at participating stalls by using the code phrase announced on air. The promotion does not give you a free ride on every attraction. If you want to use it, check the terms with the relevant stall beforehand.

How to get to the Herbstkirmes am Rhein

The funfair takes place at Tonhallenufer 2, 40479 Düsseldorf. Thanks to its central location, travelling by bus and train is a good option; you can also walk to the fairground from the Old Town. Especially on busy evenings, this is more relaxing than looking for a parking space right by the Rhine. Also watch out for possible road closures around the lower Rheinwerft. Don’t confuse this location with another site such as the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen.
