Bassum Whitsun Marksmen's Festival 2027: The traditional marksmen's festival in Bassum is expected to take place from Saturday, 15 May to Whit Monday, 17 May 2027. The planned dates follow the long-standing Whitsun tradition of Schützenverein Bassum von 1848 e. V. However, the club has yet to publish separate dates and a programme for the 2027 edition.

Schützenplatz is by Tierpark Petermoor, near the Schützenhalle on Am Schützenplatz. This has been an important part of Bassum's Whitsun tradition for many years. Schützenverein von 1848 brings club life, festive processions and entertainment to the town. The grounds also welcome families and visitors from the region.

For your reference: the correct club address is Am Schützenplatz 4, 27211 Bassum. An event listing published outside the club gives Eschenhäuser Straße 9. This is not the address of the marksmen's club, so it should not be treated as the confirmed festival site.

Marksmen's traditions, festival tent and family programme

The marksmen's festival traditionally includes the marksmen assembling, festive processions, the king's and club shooting competitions, and social events. The club's history dates back to 1848. Previous editions have also included a children's marksmen's festival on Whit Monday, with activities for younger visitors. This brings together tradition and a programme for several generations.

A particular highlight is the festively decorated Schützenhalle. In previous years, members gathered there for dance evenings, award ceremonies and social celebrations. In previous years, the Bassum marksmen's festival has also featured rides and activities for families. Food and drink and social meeting places have also been part of the festivities.
