Bunder Whitsun Fair 2027: From Saturday, 15 May, to Tuesday, 18 May 2027, Bunde in East Frisia invites you to its 253 Whitsun fair. The Association of Travelling Showmen of East Frisia has already listed this date in its market calendar for 2027. Around Kirchring and Hauptplatz, you can traditionally expect rides, market stalls and an East Frisian fair atmosphere.
Bunder Whitsun Fair 2027 in the town centre
The Bunder Whitsun Fair has long been part of the events calendar of the municipality of Bunde in the district of Leer. The fair is held over four days, from Whitsun Saturday to the Tuesday after Whitsun. In 2026, the municipality held the 252 edition. Accordingly, the next Whitsun fair is announced as the 253 edition in 2027.
The festival area is located at Hauptplatz and along Kirchring. Other nearby streets and squares are also included. Traffic through the area is restricted during funfair set-up. In addition, different parking options are designated for visitors depending on the day of the event.
Rides and market stalls at Bunder Whitsun Fair 2027
According to the official line-up of rides, the 2026 edition featured, for example, the bumper cars “Nitro – The Race”, a Break Dancer and the “Salto Mortale” looping swing. There were also children's carousels and a horse carousel. The municipality also announced around 40 market stalls in total. These details are from 2026 and are not a confirmed list of participants for the next edition.
The Whitsun fair offers you a varied mix. Traditionally, there are games, rides for different age groups and food and drink. The fair is also a meeting place for families and visitors from the German-Dutch border region. Which specific stalls will be there in 2027 remains unknown until the new official line-up of rides is published.

The four market days are Saturday, 15 May, to Tuesday, 18 May 2027. A complete, officially published daily schedule for the new edition is not yet available. Opening times are therefore not shown for now. Family day, flea market and fireworks
In 2026, there was an opening on Saturday with free rides for children and young people. A family flea market was also organised on Kellingwold Street. The large fireworks display took place that Saturday evening, while a family day with reduced prices was scheduled for Tuesday. These programme items and their times have not yet been separately confirmed for 2027. They are therefore deliberately not listed as fixed dates in the new programme.
Admission and getting to Bunde
As in previous years, admission to the public market area is free. Rides, games and food and drink are paid for separately. In 2026, the municipality named the primary school grounds and supermarket car parks, among other alternatives. The ADFC bicycle parking area was also a practical option at the time.
