Fürstenberger Autumn Funfair 2027 is scheduled for Saturday, 9 October, and Sunday, 10 October 2027. The town of Bad Wünnenberg holds the event every year on the second weekend in October. The dates therefore follow the official annual scheduling rule. However, the new edition has not yet been announced separately. Around Schlosspark, the funfair, church fair traditions and voluntary commitment come together.

Fürstenberger Autumn Funfair 2027 at Schlosspark

In the district of Fürstenberg, the autumn funfair is one of the most important events of the year. It takes place around Am Schloßpark 1a, near the Kulturscheune. There are stalls, carousels and a sales and trade exhibition. The event is organised with a great deal of voluntary effort. Among other things, committed local residents help organise the funfair programme. So alongside the rides, celebrating together is also a central part of the event.

A funfair tradition spanning more than 260 years

The town of Bad Wünnenberg describes the Fürstenberger Autumn Funfair as an event with more than 260 years of tradition. Its origins lie in the church fair of St. Marien Church. Over several generations, this developed into a diverse fair. Today, carousels and market stalls shape the event. At the same time, church and local traditions remain important. Sunday is particularly dedicated to the church fair and musical events.

Fürstenberger Autumn Funfair 2027: rides and market stalls

According to the established event format, carousels, sales stalls and a trade exhibition are open on both days of the funfair. There are various activities for families, too. Food stalls also serve savoury and sweet refreshments. The showmen bringing their rides to the event in October 2027 have not yet been announced. Therefore, rides from previous years are not listed as a confirmed line-up of rides. A full funfair plan is traditionally published shortly before the event.

Opening times and scheduling

For the 2026 edition, the town published specific opening times for both days. On Saturday, the funfair began in the early afternoon and continued until shortly before midnight. On Sunday, the stalls opened at midday and closed in the early evening. These official opening times from the previous year have been entered provisionally in the MEC calendar for 2027. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. Changes to the programme and the opening hours of individual stalls and rides are still possible.

Family day, funfair party and musical Sunday

In previous years, the traditional programme has included a lively afternoon, activities for families and a big funfair party. The town also describes an evening political get-together as a recurring feature. Sunday centres on the church fair and musical performances. However, the exact schedule for 9 and 10 October 2027 has not yet been finalised. We are therefore not listing unconfirmed times for individual 2027 programme items.

Admission, getting there and visitor information

The regional tourism organisation lists admission to the public event as free. However, rides, food and individual market items must be paid for separately. You can find the event at Am Schloßpark 1a in 33181 Fürstenberg, a district of Bad Wünnenberg. Schlosspark is a useful landmark. If you expect larger crowds, it is best to arrive early.
