Mönchengladbach Easter Fair 2027: Expected to run from Saturday, 27 March to Sunday, 4 April 2027, the Easter fair will once again invite you to enjoy a funfair stroll around Alter Markt. The date follows the traditional schedule from Easter Saturday to the Sunday after Easter. The date for 2027 has not yet been officially confirmed.

Mönchengladbach Easter Fair 2027 at Alter Markt

The Easter fair has its traditional location right in the heart of Mönchengladbach. Rides, game stalls and food stands are set up among the city-centre buildings at Easter. The compact location is particularly appealing to families and visitors who prefer a smaller funfair. You can also easily combine your visit with a stroll through the centre.

The Mönchengladbach showmen's association had already listed Alter Markt as the venue for Easter Fair 2024. Later calendar entries also name the square as the location of the Easter fair. However, no new layout of the festival site for 2027 has yet been announced.

Rides and family activities

The funfair at Alter Markt is traditionally smaller than the large fairs held on extensive festival grounds. Previous editions featured children's carousels, classic rides and small games stalls. There were also sweets, food stands and other offerings to encourage a spontaneous visit to the funfair. Which specific attractions will be set up in 2027 is not yet known.

For this reason, no new rides have been confirmed here. Information from previous years is no substitute for a current line-up of rides. Once the list is available, rides and operators can be added with links to their attraction profiles.

Mönchengladbach Easter Fair 2027: dates and times

The provisional event period is listed as 27 March to 4 April 2027. This means the possible edition would include Easter Sunday on 28 March and Easter Monday on 29 March. Official daily opening times for 2027 have not yet been published. The calendar is therefore not showing an unconfirmed schedule for now.

Family day, programme and special offers

Previous editions of the Easter fair included a family day with discounts on rides and selected offers. It is not yet known whether the showmen will hold such a promotion day in 2027 too. A specific date or other programme events will only be added once confirmed by the organiser.

Admission, travel and planning your visit

Alter Markt is a public square in the city centre with free access. Accordingly, based on previous practice, no admission is charged to enter the funfair. You only pay to use the rides or buy food, drinks and games. You can reach Mönchengladbach city centre by local public transport and via the surrounding roads.
