Highlights & records

Three-storey obstacle course in a farm style, with spinning platforms and a large slide.

This farm is about more than animals and barns: spinning platforms and a slide turn every step into a little adventure.

Experience Die verrückte Farm Hortz

The route takes you through several levels of a colourful farm world. The façade promises a cheerful country outing, but inside you’ll find challenges and little surprises. Spinning platforms unsettle the ground beneath you. There are also other obstacles to tackle at your own pace. A large slide is another well-known feature of the course and provides a lively finish to some sections.

Die verrückte Farm Hortz offers a different kind of movement from a carousel. You aren’t strapped into a fixed seat; instead, you move through the various sections yourself. That’s what makes for funny moments: sometimes the next step seems easy, until the floor beneath your feet starts moving in a different direction. The different levels also give you new perspectives on the farm setting as you make your way through.

What makes Die verrückte Farm special?

Its distinctive character comes from combining three storeys, moving floor sections and cheerful farm décor. You can’t settle into a monotonous routine, as the course keeps asking you to move in different ways. The large slide also makes your journey through the funhouse more than just a maze. The result is a one-of-a-kind experience that’s especially fun to enjoy with friends or family.

History of Die verrückte Farm

The ride was built in 2013 by German manufacturer WOATT Rides. It made its debut at the spring fair in Osnabrück. It initially toured under the Cornelius showman business from Wallenhorst. In 2022, it changed hands to Walter Adriano Hortz. This new operator listing therefore refers not to a replica, but to the same physical ride continuing its touring history.

The farm theme provides a distinctive setting for the obstacles. Instead of telling a ghost story or creating a futuristic world, the funhouse uses rural motifs and humorous chaos. This makes it a welcome change at fairs, where ghost trains and action attractions are common. Hortz taking over the ride also shows how a modern funhouse can continue touring under different showman businesses.

Who is Die verrückte Farm Hortz suitable for?

The attraction is particularly appealing to families and groups of friends who want to try something together. The farmyard style is friendly and playful, while the course offers movement and variety. If you like to switch between fast-paced rides and quieter attractions at a funfair, this is an active alternative. You can take on the course with others and see how differently everyone tackles the obstacles.

It is important to take care around the moving elements. In particular, it is worth taking your time on the spinning discs and slides. So you should follow the staff's instructions and approach each section individually. You can find out at the entrance which rules apply to children and accompanying adults. The concept is particularly suitable for visitors who enjoy being active and like little surprises.
