Tea Cups – B&R Amusement
Spinning fun in oversized teacups
Operator: B&R Amusement (Brunselaar)
The Tea Cups by B&R Amusement bring the teacup ride experience to Dutch fairgrounds: you sit in an oversized cup while the ride spins. What makes it special is that each cup can also move independently. The same ride can therefore feel different for different groups, depending on how fast they spin their cup.

B&R’s Tea Cups on tour
Behind this particular ride is B&R Amusement, which also appears under the name Brunselaar in event listings. The Tea Cups were listed, for example, at the Tilburgse Kermis 2023. Kermis Volendam also lists Tea Cups by Brunselaar in the Zeestraat/AMVO-terrein area for 2026. This makes the ride part of the Dutch travelling fair circuit, and it should not be confused with other attractions also called Tea Cups.

Tea Cups: a ride with two spinning movements
The idea is clear as soon as you get on: the gondolas look not like cars, boats or aeroplanes, but like teacups. As the main platform goes round, passengers can influence how the cups spin. This combination creates the characteristic, sometimes surprising sensation of this type of ride. Unlike Break Dance, it is not about high acceleration, but about a shared ride experience with a changing sense of rotation.
The Tea Cups are especially suited to a visit with several people. When you share a cup, you experience the spins together and can laugh at each other’s reactions. That is the appeal of B&R’s ride: the focus is not on its height, but on the small group of passengers spinning around. From the outside, you can follow the cups and see how differently each gondola moves.

Who would be interested in the spinning teacups?
The Dutch description of the Tea Cups explicitly presents the ride as a family-friendly attraction. This fits its design, with no tall towers or inversions. If you are looking for a classic funfair ride that does not rely on extreme heights, the teacup ride is an interesting choice. Families with children can also take a look at the ride together and follow the staff’s instructions before getting on.
An important difference from a fixed circular ride is that the additional spinning is part of the experience. Anyone who is sensitive to rotation should bear this in mind before riding. The operator's rules apply to younger riders; these are displayed directly at the attraction. If you are visiting together, it is a good idea to discuss beforehand how intensely you want the cup to spin.
