What it’s like to ride Super Miami XXL

You sit alongside other passengers in a row that moves up and down together. Unlike a carousel with lots of individual gondolas, the group stays on one continuous bench. This makes the movement particularly intense: as the bench swings upwards, the view across the fairground changes; as it then descends, you feel a distinct change. History of Super Miami XXL

The attraction is one of the new rides of the 2026 funfair season. Dutch reports described it as an eye-catching investment by showman Freek Terpstra shortly after it opened. At the funfair in Zevenaar, it was one of the most talked-about attractions in the summer of 2026. Its connection with Hans de Voer makes it a joint project by two Dutch showmen.

This type belongs to the tradition of so-called Miami or surf rides. In this design, a bench is moved up and down by a moving structure. The Italian manufacturer Rides and Fun, formerly known as Top Fun, is known for surf rides of this family. Super Miami XXL continues the concept in a modern travelling version.

Who is the XXL swing ride suitable for?

Super Miami XXL particularly appeals to visitors who enjoy intense movement but are not necessarily looking for a roller coaster or a ride with several inversions. However, the repeated swinging motion can still be demanding. If you are sensitive to powerful changes of direction, you should watch the ride from the outside first and take your personal limits into account.
