Kanurah Vallentgoed is an elaborately designed ride with inversions by the Dutch showman Louis Vallentgoed. The ride combines the movements of a Jet Fighter by Technical Park with a distinctive story centred on a mysterious Mayan temple. This makes Kanurah more than just another large swing ride: even the queue area and staging are intended to draw visitors into an archaeological expedition.

Highlights & records

Maya temple theming with its own story, a themed pre-show, soundtrack, and announced fire and water effects. Premiere at the Urfahraner Markt in Linz in spring 2026.

At Kanurah, the thrill is part of a story: two flipping gondolas and the Maya setting turn the Jet Fighter into a staged experience.

The Kanurah Vallentgoed ride experience

The Jet Fighter has a large moving arm with two passenger gondolas. As the main arm rotates, the gondolas can also flip around their own axes. This creates changing views, intense acceleration and repeated upside-down moments. The ride is especially appealing to people who enjoy strong rotations and are actively looking for a thrill ride.

The theming sets Kanurah apart from many other rides with flips. According to the concept presented by the operator, the route leads into a world of Maya motifs, mysterious symbols and a story about an ancient curse. The concept also includes specially composed music, lighting and water effects. Fire and fountain effects were also announced as part of the show. The specific show elements may vary depending on the space available.

Jet Fighter technology and theming

The manufacturer is the Italian company Technical Park. The Jet Fighter model combines the movement of the central arm with freely rotating passenger carriers. Two gondolas with a total capacity of up to twenty people were announced for Kanurah. The structure reaches a height of around 24 metres. Alongside the ride technology itself, the temple theming and coordinated show control play an important role.

Unlike a classic Frisbee ride, the focus here is not just on the swinging motion. The gondolas also perform additional flips, causing your orientation to change several times during a ride. You can find more modern thrill rides and rides in our ride directory.

The story of Kanurah Vallentgoed

As early as 2025, Louis Vallentgoed publicly presented the project. Together with The Entertainment Crew, he developed the idea of bringing the dramatic techniques of a theme park to a transportable funfair ride. The experience was intended to begin before the ride itself, with a pre-show scene, a themed entrance and a continuous story.

In spring 2026, Kanurah made its debut at the Urfahraner Markt in Linz. The ride later also appeared at Dutch and German fairs. During an appearance at Cannstatter Volksfest, it became clear that the staging requires space: according to the operator, part of the temple scenery could not be set up there. This combination of mobile technology and elaborate theming is what makes the ride special.

Who is Kanurah suitable for?

Kanurah is aimed at more experienced funfair visitors who enjoy powerful acceleration and upside-down movements. For people who quickly feel dizzy during rotations, however, the ride can be challenging. The operator's safety rules apply on site. A minimum height of 1,40 metres was specified for an appearance in Stuttgart; check the requirements displayed at the ride before each ride.

It's well worth taking in the themed entrance and show before the ride, too. Kanurah is designed as a complete experience, with scenery, sound and movement working together.
