G-Force Dotremont is a travelling pendulum ride from Belgium, now operated by the Dotremont showman family. The ride was made by the Dutch manufacturer KMG and belongs to the Afterburner series. This makes it a Frisbee ride, where a rotating gondola swings high above the fairground on a large pendulum arm. With 24 seats, G-Force is a typical thrill ride for Belgian funfairs.

What it’s like to ride G-Force Dotremont
You sit facing outwards in a circular row of seats. At first, the pendulum arm swings gently back and forth. Then it swings higher with each pass, until the gondola soars high above the fairground. At the same time, the gondola rotates on its own axis. This means you constantly switch between climbing, brief moments of weightlessness and descending.
You feel the characteristic butterflies in your stomach most strongly at the highest point. Powerful forces also act as you sweep through the bottom of the swing, giving the ride its name.

History of G-Force
KMG built the ride in 2002 with serial number FRB-24-052-29. It first travelled with Belgian showman Paul Lauwers from 2002 to 2012. It has belonged to the Dotremont family since 2013, and they operate it together with Saelens. G-Force has therefore been travelling continuously around Belgian fairgrounds for more than two decades, including the Oktoberfoor in Ostend.

G-Force is a clear-cut thrill ride for teenagers and adults. It is not suitable for small children. You can find the minimum height requirement in force at the entrance.
