Highlights & records
Bench with 18 seats; the operator is known for a cup game during the ride.
Lots of movement in a small space: Devil Dance is all about its swinging bench.
Special features of Devil Dance Welte
The ride belongs to the wiper ride type, sometimes also known as a Miami. According to the ride database, it was made by WOATT Rides and has room for 18 people. One notable feature is the so-called cup game: riders try to keep a cup of water as full as possible despite the movement. The operator decides whether this activity is offered on a particular ride. It would therefore be wrong to promise that it is part of every ride. Its compact design makes Devil Dance suitable for a range of fairgrounds.
What it's like to ride Devil Dance Welte
You don't sit in a carriage of your own, but together with the other riders on one continuous row of seats. As the bench moves, the acceleration and the feeling in your stomach keep changing. The ride can feel surprisingly intense, even though it takes up less space than large high-altitude rides. The shared rhythm adds to the atmosphere: everyone experiences the same movement and reacts together to the next swing. If you are sensitive to sideways forces, watch the ride from the outside before getting on.

History and tips
According to Ride-Index, Devil Dance made its debut in June 2012 at the marksmen's festival in Gifhorn. The ride has been travelling under Ricardo Welte ever since. With older footage, it is important to check the operator's name, as wiper rides belonging to different showmen can look similar. A clearly titled offride video from Wallenhorst 2026 shows the ride described here. If you want to try it, start with a standard ride and then decide whether to go again. You can find more fairs in the funfair calendar.

Who is the ride suitable for?
Devil Dance is mainly for visitors who enjoy dynamic round rides but don't need particularly tall towers or roller coasters. Its appeal lies in the changing forces and the shared atmosphere on the bench. If you have back problems, feel dizzy easily or are very sensitive to movement, it's best to be cautious. The available sources do not provide a reliable general minimum height. Always follow the notices and instructions at the ride. Depending on their individual sensitivity, children may find the ride too intense.
