Highlights & records
Four-armed Remix ride with LED lighting.
Four arms, changing views and an intense light display make Deep Zone a particularly dynamic Swiss funfair ride.
What it's like to ride Deep Zone Secco-Bergdorf
Movement takes centre stage on Deep Zone. The ride has four arms and combines the rotation of the ride with the swinging of the passenger seats. This means your view changes repeatedly during the ride. The experience is quite different from a simple swing carousel or a Musik Express, where passengers travel along a more even circular path.
The lighting also contributes to the effect. The operators chose modern LED lighting for the newly built ride. Deep Zone also catches the eye in the dark, even for people watching the ride from the fairground. The organiser of Basler Herbstmesse describes the ride as exceptionally fast and promotes its intense spins and flashes of light.

Technology, design and presence on the fairground
The Remix model features a lively interplay between its four arms. Passengers experience not just steady rotation, but changing directions and perspectives. Deep Zone is therefore one of the modern round rides, where movement and visual effects play a central role.
Its LED lighting gives the ride a striking presence even when its moving parts are switched off. This sets it apart from older rides with traditional lighting. If you'd like to discover similar attractions, you'll find more round rides in our attraction guide.
The history of Deep Zone Secco-Bergdorf
The ride was built in 2021 and made its debut in July 2022 at the Chilbi in Brunnen. That same year, Deep Zone appeared at Basler Herbstmesse, where it was one of the new attractions on the Kasernenareal. In an official statement, the Canton of Basel-Stadt specifically described it as a four-armed ride.
In 2022, showman Jesse Secco-Bergdorf told a news agency that the new ride was already fully equipped with LED lights. This shows how closely the design and technical operation of this ride are linked. In later years, the ride also travelled to Swiss Chilbis, including the one in Wädenswil.

Who is Deep Zone suitable for?
Deep Zone is particularly suited to visitors who enjoy powerful spins and a dynamic ride. Compared with a classic family ride, it offers considerably more action. If you are sensitive to spinning, bear that in mind when deciding whether to ride.
You can easily watch how it moves from the outside: the four arms define its appearance and make the ride stand out, even on a large fairground. The safety and height requirements displayed at the entrance determine whether you can ride. Check them before boarding to make sure the ride is suitable for you.
