Heddesdorfer Pfingstkirmes 2027: Expected to run from Friday, 14 May to Tuesday, 18 May 2027, the Kirmeswiese in Neuwied-Heddesdorf will once again become one of the best-known fairgrounds on the Middle Rhine. The dates are already listed in event calendars and follow the usual five-day Pentecost schedule. However, the City of Neuwied has not yet separately confirmed the dates for 2027.
Heddesdorfer Pfingstkirmes 2027 at the Kirmeswiese
According to the City of Neuwied, Heddesdorfer Pfingstkirmes is the largest fair on the Middle Rhine. The fairground is at the Kirmeswiese on Andernacher Straße. It traditionally features larger rides, children's attractions and numerous stalls. The event also draws on a long connection with the Heddesdorf Pentecost tradition and local club life.
In 2026, the 150-year history of the modern Pentecost funfair was celebrated. The many attractions and supporting programme made the anniversary a special fair. For 2027, however, it is not yet clear what the organisers have planned for the next edition. The only certainty is the regularly recurring Pentecost connection.
Rides and funfair favourites on the Middle Rhine
Previous editions have offered a varied mix of a Ferris wheel, fast rides and attractions for children. In 2026, the anniversary edition featured larger rides and a Ferris wheel, among other things. There were also prize stalls, skill games and food and drink stands. Roasted almonds and savoury funfair specialities are also part of a typical visit.
There is no current official line-up of rides confirming which showmen will actually arrive for 2027. For this reason, rides from previous years are not being presented as confirmed new attractions. Instead, it is worth waiting for announcements from the city marketing department.
Heddesdorfer Pfingstkirmes 2027: dates and opening times
It is planned to run from Friday, 14 May to Tuesday, 18 May 2027. The city has not yet announced its own dates for 2027. The official schedule for 2026 can be used as a guide; it included a later start on Friday and an earlier finish on Tuesday. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. Any different information for 2027 will be reflected after official confirmation.
Pentecost riders, parade and fireworks
The Heddesdorf Pentecost riders are a distinctive city tradition. The anniversary edition in 2026 included a ride through Heddesdorf, a parade, a service at the fairground and a large fireworks display. There were also special activities for families and a discounted family day on Tuesday. No equally detailed programme has yet been published for 2027. Therefore, the dates for 2026 are not being treated as a renewed commitment.
Admission and getting to Heddesdorf
Following past practice, the public Kirmeswiese is free to enter; rides, games and food and drink are charged separately. Use Andernacher Straße in 56564 Neuwied as your route guide.
