Mannheim – Mannheimer Maimess 2027

The Mannheimer Maimess 2027 is scheduled to run from Saturday, 24 April to Sunday, 9 May 2027. After the October fair, Mannheimer Messe has already announced this period for the next spring edition 2026. This means 16 days of funfair activity are coming up at Neuer Messplatz. Please note: Maimess is not the Mannheimer Maimarkt, which is also held in spring. The two events have different locations and offerings.

Mannheimer Maimess 2027: spring funfair at Neuer Messplatz

Numerous showmen and visitors gather at Neuer Messplatz in Neckarstadt in spring. The site has room for rides, game stalls and food and drink outlets. The funfair lights in the evening are also a key part of the experience for many visitors. You can spend an afternoon with your family or come specifically for the bigger attractions. As the fair runs for several weeks, there are different ways to visit in April and May.

Rides, classics and refreshments

Maimess traditionally offers large and small rides, children's carousels and attractions for all age groups. There are also sweets, snacks, drinks and games. However, the individual showmen's line-up changes every year. For this reason, no rides are currently listed as participants in the 2027 edition based solely on an earlier line-up. Once the current organiser's list is available, individual rides can be matched with their correct operators.

Mannheimer Maimess 2027: opening times

The organiser's official Maimess calendar does not yet include the daily operating hours for the 2026 edition. These are initially carried over as a guide for the new edition. Opening times are provisional as of 2026. The schedule distinguishes between regular weekdays, Fridays, Saturdays and days before public holidays. The MEC timetable shows you the regular time slots; any later changes can be added after the organiser issues an updated notice.

Admission, special days and fireworks

Admission to the public fairground is free under the usual arrangements. Rides, games and refreshments incur separate costs. In previous years, Maimess has featured events such as Happy Mondays, family days and fireworks. These individual dates have not yet been clearly confirmed for 2027. For this reason, no programme dates have been automatically carried over from the previous year, and no promises have been made about specific fireworks days.

Neuer Messplatz is in Mannheim-Neckarstadt. You can get there by public transport or by car; check current routes, parking and any road closures before setting off.
