Frühlingsfest Hannover 2027 invites you to enjoy a big funfair on Schützenplatz from Saturday, 27 March, to Sunday, 18 April 2027. Hannover Tourism has officially confirmed the event dates. Frühlingsfest Hannover 2027 at Schützenplatz
In spring, the large Schützenplatz on Bruchmeisterallee becomes a colourful funfair site. Frühlingsfest is one of the state capital's best-known fairs. The fairground is also close to Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena and can be reached by public transport. Visitors can move between a range of rides, game stalls and food and drink outlets. For 2027, the organiser has not yet published a complete list of showmen by name, so specific attractions are not yet linked in the calendar as confirmed.
Carousels, festival tent programme and family fun
Typical attractions include large roundabout rides, bumper cars, rides for children and game stalls. Specialities ranging from roasted almonds to savoury snacks add to the funfair atmosphere. Additional events are usually held at weekends in the Festhalle Ahrend party tent. Hannover Tourism says the specific performers and new rides for 2027 will be announced later. Frühlingsfest Hannover 2027: opening times and closure days
The official event information states that opening is at 15 pm from Wednesday to Saturday and at 14 pm on Sundays and the Easter public holidays. It is normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except Easter Monday, 29 March 2027. Provisional opening times, as at 2026: the fair closed at 23 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 23 pm on Sundays and public holidays; there was an exception on the eve of public holidays. The structured times show these known groups of days. Any changes for 2027 will be added once the organiser has expressly confirmed all closing times.
Family days and spring fireworks
Hannover Tourism announces a family day with discounts on rides on Wednesdays and fireworks on Friday evenings. These regular event days can be matched to the relevant dates for 2027. Changes may occur due to weather; a planned fireworks display is not a guarantee that it will go ahead. Additional special offers, birthday deals or musical performances have not yet been fully confirmed for 2027. The season opens on Easter Saturday, right in the middle of the Easter holidays.
Admission, getting there and parking
You do not pay an entrance fee to visit the public fairground. Rides, games and food and drink are charged separately. According to the visitor information, parking is available directly at Schützenplatz for a daily fee; free guarded bicycle parking is also mentioned.
