Paderborn – Paderborner Lunapark 2027

Paderborner Lunapark 2027 is scheduled to take place from 17.04.2027 to 25.04.2027 at Maspernplatz West in the city centre of Paderborn. The Lunapark traditionally kicks off Paderborn’s funfair season. Since 1919, the spring funfair has been drawing visitors to Maspernplatz. Its tried-and-tested line-up includes modern rides, family favourites, children’s carousels and a wide range of food and drink stalls. You can also find the key information you need to plan your visit here.

Paderborner Lunapark 2027: Location and character of the fair

The City of Paderborn has officially set the dates from 17 to 25 April 2027. Applications from showmen have already closed; a complete list of the rides approved for 2027 has not yet been published. For this reason, no attractions from previous years are deliberately listed here as a confirmed line-up of rides. Alongside the well-known Libori and Herbstlibori fairs, Lunapark is one of Paderborn’s three major funfair events. Last year, around 60 showmen offered a wide range of attractions; this figure is no guarantee for the new year. For your visit, the specific venue is therefore more important than a general reference to the city. In addition, different areas may have different entrances and routes. It is therefore worth getting your bearings beforehand.

Rides, market stalls and more experiences

Lunapark traditionally marks the start of Paderborn's funfair season. Since 1919, the spring funfair has been attracting visitors to Maspernplatz. Its tried-and-tested concept includes modern rides, family favourites, children's carousels and a wide range of food stalls. Which showmen and individual attractions will attend the 2027 edition may change right up until it begins. A historical line-up of rides is not proof of what will be there in the new year. We therefore mention only the confirmed features of the fair and do not list rides that may or may not attend as confirmed participants. Families in particular should also check the final programme information.

Paderborner Lunapark 2027: Opening hours and dates

The specific schedule for this edition of the event has not yet been confirmed everywhere. Opening hours are provisional as of 2026: the weekly schedule has been taken from the city’s 2026 edition of Lunapark; the dates 2027 have been officially confirmed. The opening hours list shows the relevant day groups and exceptions. You should check the organiser’s latest information, especially at weekends. Any additional exceptions, breaks or changes will only be listed as confirmed once the organisers have verified them. If you are planning to visit for a special event, check the official announcement again beforehand.

Admission, family tips and possible costs

A binding admission price for the new edition has not yet been announced. The grounds are therefore not described as generally free to enter. Rides, food and drink, and purchases may cost extra regardless. Individual rides and games have their own prices. Food, drinks or reservations may also incur a charge. If you are visiting with children, discounts may be of interest. However, previous special offers do not automatically apply again. You should therefore check the announcements from the showmen and organisers.

Getting there and finding your way around

You can reach the event site in Paderborn at Maspernplatz West in the city centre. Depending on where you are travelling from, public transport is a good alternative to driving. On busier funfair days, the area around the fairground can get crowded, so it is a good idea to allow plenty of time for your journey. Also check for possible road closures and changes to parking arrangements. These are usually announced in detail only shortly before the fair.
