Bopfingen – Ipfmesse 2027

The Ipfmesse 2027 takes place in Bopfingen from Friday, 2 July to Tuesday, 6 July 2027. The city has already published the five festival days in its official events calendar. Ipfmess is one of the region’s most important fairs and combines rides, a large market, exhibitions, music and food and drink. This gives you the chance to plan a varied fair visit at the foot of Bopfingen’s local mountain.

Ipfmesse 2027: Fair tradition at the Ipf

The roots of the Ipfmess date back to the royal approval of a market fair in 1812. Since then, the fair has continued to develop. Today, according to the town of Bopfingen, it attracts around 300.000 visitors each year. The offering includes more than 200 market traders, showmen and trade exhibitions. This mix is what sets the Ipfmesse apart from a fairground made up solely of rides. You can stroll between the market stalls and then meet up in the festival tent or beer garden.

Rides, market stalls and festival tent

The fairground at Sechtawasen normally offers a large funfair with rides for different age groups. Market stallholders also sell a range of goods and regional specialities. Local businesses are also represented at an exhibition. The specific rides and operators taking part in edition 2027 have not yet been confirmed by name. Ipfmesse 2027: Opening hours and programme

Last year, the programme included an official ceremonial keg tapping, a parade, fireworks and a family day. A general admission policy explicitly applying to the festival grounds for 2027 could not yet be established. Individual rides, food and drink options, and any separate stage events may charge admission. Therefore, no unsupported general admission fee is listed. The Ipfmess fairground is in Bopfingen, not far from the local mountain Ipf. In previous years, special buses, additional parking and road closures and traffic restrictions during the parade were provided.
